you can't flat a 9x raise with 66, and you certainly don't want to risk nearly 45 big blinds with that hand. So yes, you made the correct fold.

yah with a 50BB stack size UTG in a full ring this is a hard hand to play too profitably i lean towards fold. open wouldnt be too terrible.

I think a 3x open is called for. The "rule" is: If you're not willing to RAISE, don't flat.With no reads and it being very early in the tourney, there's almost no way you can jam over the top of all those raise/call bets, either, so I agree you made the correct fold.
