strategy 4
pretty sure goodfellas is the consensus regardless of what you get from this poll.I like casino, too. I once watched a documentary on the history channel or somesuch with the guy it's based on. I don't think I could have made it out of his situation.

keith crime 8
the two stories are so similar that just coming first means that goodfellas is the better moviepesci's roles are almost identical - although it sounds like he was a perfect fit for both roles especially the guy he plays in casino - anthony spilatro i thinkcasino sort of breaks down in the sharon stone deniro relationshipyou just don't care and you also never believe for a second that pesci and stone would ever get it on and if they did you certainly didn't want to see itI love that scene where Pesci is playing blackjack and keeps making the dealer give him a different card as Don Rickles watches knowing all hell has broken looseI also love the line where Deniro tells the politician - either he's incompetant or he's a crook i don't know which but either way he can't work here anymore

LongLiveYorke 38
I picked Casino to be contrarian.Well, actually, I saw Casino first and have seen it more times than Goodfellas, so I think that has biased my thinking. Goodfellas is probably tighter and better, but Casino is just so darn entertaining to watch that I had to give it some love in the poll.
GeneralGeeWhiz 0
goodfellas > casino.casino was missing something. it just seemed that everyone was just walking through their parts and not acting their best. goodfellas is scorsese's best movie.

BigDMcGee 3,352
I think good fellas, but I do think it's close. I think casino is an operatic tragedy that is just fantastic, and is illustrative of one of the classic blunder. The most famous is never get in a land war in asia, but only slightly less famous is this: never make a ho a house wife. It's problem is it's just a little too long. Goodfellas is lean, every scene is iconic, some of the shots are spectacular, the soundtrack, it's basically a perfect gangster movie. The only major problem is ray liotta is just terrible. The mark hamill of gangster movies.

It was Michael Spilotro's
Dubey 1,035
Voted Goodfellas. I think if Casino was made first, this poll would be closer. Both are fantastic movies.

fleung22 1
GoodfellasBut to be honest, after watching Casino I felt like it was Goodfellas 2 or some king of ripoff and never watched it again. Goodfellas I've seen like 30+ times
brvheart 1,747
I voted Casino.Goodfellas is another movie, like Reservoir Dogs, that I saw 15+ years after it's release that it simply couldn't hold up to 15 years of hype. It was mediocre for me. I like The Departed at least 10x more.
