I disagree. :)If he shopped around Subban, he would have had so much more than what Dale gave him. Im certain Bob would/could have given more.
I agree, I definitely would have given more but he will not trade with me (if you know what I mean).

I definitely don't have the insight into the league, financials, assets etc so I really can't say. But if that trade happened in the FCHL as stated I would think that it was at least pretty even, and possible that PKD got the better end of it.

pkdealeta got raped in this deal and it isn't even close...It tilts me so much how incompetent some ppl are in this league.

I think the franchise player thing really helps P.K.'s value here. Plus it's a 20 team league so elite assets are going to be more valuable.Closest FCHL equivalent would be P.K. Subbdan on a farm team at a $0.50 salary. I'd say that would be a pretty valuable asset.

Oh, hello.I don't get him for 10 years of production, though. I'll get 6 when I call him up probably next season.

lets not forget that the next best contract in the trade belongs to Wheeler, who Dale also got. $2 for the next 4 years. Good luck finding or signing anyone else to a 4year deal at only $2 these days, with that upside and no salary increase.Best player going to PK was prob Little, who is between $4-$5 next 3 yrs.

In fairness to Dale, and Bob too, and Arp.... and several other GM's (you know who you are), these guys work hard to make deals. The deal I made with Dale took 3 days and about 20 different combinations to complete. I probably fall into the category of less effective GM's, for the simple reason that I dont have time to personally contact 20 GM's to try to make a deal. I have to throw the deals out there, and see what I get offered in return, which is usually nothing. All that being said, I think PK dealers made a John Kordic for Russ Courtnall trade here...
