fleung22 1
still love the show...don't get me wrong. but I feel like I need me some cool Draper again or very soon. that's been too many eps of a dying Don character.used to be even when Don was in loads of crap he's outwit or outthink the situation (exception on Betty that is) but he's on the brink of becoming a depressing character.hopefully it's the great setup for a big comeback as most of the characters are having a pretty miserable time right now. strategy 4
Joan in glasses. Holy crap.haha, there's a picture I could post here, but I won't. because it will start a nerd-fight.
BigDMcGee 3,355
just an amazing ending to an amazing show. God, Rodger has so much depth as a character. It would be so easy to make that character one dimensional.

And what was he thinking at the end?

I don't think he will, because he is so vital to the show...but that's where it was headed, right 'til the end. And what was he thinking at the end?I think he will, now that you mention it. Where else is there for him to go? HIs only account is gone, Joan is gone, he has a book that's a fraud. I just can't see where the character is going now. Also, I don't think he is vital. he's an awesome part of the show, but his part was always comic relief, and to be the ghost of xmas yet to come for Don. Plus, they haven't had a suicide yet on the show that I can remember, it would be interesting to see people of that time and place deal with it.

frautotenkinder 1,025
Aside from the opening credits sequence.I had forgotten about this. In the beginning of "The Beautiful Girls" (episode with the runaway Sally Draper) one of the opening sequences was the back of Don Draper at his desk--I thought directly referencing some of the opening credits imagery.I don't know why I'm so shocked at how cowardly the men of SCDP are. Don yelling at Pete to cover his ass, then watching Pete take the fall for him...Roger in pretend land...I don't think Roger will kill himself--it's not what men of his socio economic class do, and I think he's still quite wealthy. He came aboard the new agency because of his contacts with Lucky Strike--not as the bank roll.I've seen people question whether or not Joan really had the abortion, or if she just turned around and came back. I think she did.Are there bunnies at the Palm?

I think she did.Are there bunnies at the Palm? As for the abortion, she says "A tragedy was avoided". Whether that means the possibility of people finding out about their fling, or that the baby wasn't aborted, we don't know Do I need to use spoilers here?
Theraflu 1,035
No, you don't.I think she kept the baby.

Theraflu 1,035
I wasnt paying super close attention, but I didnt get any indication that she kept the baby.I was thinking that after the conversation with the mom that was at the clinic for her daughter, that she felt it was more of a childish (at first I typed chilish, which made me think it said chili-ish, which was way more delicious than abortion) and immature act. In the long term, with how Roger would react, it doesn't make a lot of sense, but I'm going with it for now. Maybe she's going to drown Roger with the placenta. I don't know, I'm not a doctor. loogie 115
I thought it was obvious she kept the baby. She was at work and feeling fine the next day. It took LG a couple days to recover after aborting our love child.

fleung22 1
I must say I've been pleasantly surprised to google Jessica Paré who plays Megan the secretary. Reminds me of a bustier Liv Tyler but you can't tell by her outfits in Mad Men.So that's it for the season? noooooooEDIT: nope, two more eps

Denny Crane 0
funny that Betty is seeing a child psychologist. So fitting. They sure do a good job of keeping Don dipping into dick territory and hero territory
