Research virgin births and let us know how many you can find before Christ.6 or 7 I wager.Strange that the Hebrew and Jews did not read their own scriptures literally but the Christians who adopted and plagiarized them did.I guess that foolish literalist whould not see anything strange about such a thing.RegardsDL
Im guessing since getting pregnant out of wedlock was seriously looked down on back then, if good records were kept, Im sure the number of reported virgin births would be in the hundreds.

The "virgin birth" is a universal myth which occurs in almost every culture around the world. It generally signifies a "spiritual" rather than biological birth, and sets one up on a journey to find their father/source. It's not specific to christianity at all.

This argument requires you to first believe that there is no metaphysical reality to our existence. If God created us and gave us clear direction through the Jewish writings about life etc, it is not a stretch to think that those truths would show up in all parts of the world many years later. The idea that since someone else 'thought of it' on their own ( not confirmed either because let's face it, if you can argue that the Jews stole it from the Greeks, then you have to also allow that the Greeks stole it from the earlier Jews ) The notion that someone thought of it on their own doesn't lend any weight to whether of not Christ's virgin birth was real or not. Absolutely no weight whatsoever.

There is no metaphysical reality to our -- what? metaphysical reality. to our existence. Nope, can't make that make sense, sorry.

That really isn't the point, but to answer your question it was not "stolen" by anyone, it arose independently and recurrently due to the common facts of our psychology and circumstance, the same way that totally unrelated and non-interacting cultures all generated wheels or hammers.

True that, Jung has done some pretty interesting research about different cultures developing similar systems & sets of believes independantly from each other. It doesn't really bare much relevance to virgin birth being a just a myth or not, but it's pretty interesting nonetheless.

You have changed my mind completely and I am now a fake-deïst thingy like you. Your work has been done, mind(s) have changed and it is time for you to continue your life-path to change the minds of non-fake-deïsts who don't use the internet (Tip: Cannibal tribes in Australia).
