hahaha, these parts cracked me up:""Bermie knew he needed to get out of there or he would have killed the guy," one says. "And he probably needed to wash his hands.""As it turns out, Rogue Squadron has won every game this year in which one of their players didn't poop inside an opponent's equipment."

Reply "I'm going to shit in your glove!"On a side note, I went to my gf's Xmas party last Friday night. She's a special education teacher at an elementary school. We had some 8 vs. 8 flip cup going. I had the 63ish year old lady on my team and she was pretty damn good! And talking shit on the 22ish y/o student teacher! :club:

Actually on the subject of Xmas parties. I went to one about 5 years ago with my wife at some banquet hall. My wife is a nurse and when they start drinking watch out.A few things that stood out:1. some nurses told my wife that I was cute (as you can tell they were drunk already)2. one nurse was dancing and not wearing underwear3. two nurses started kissing each other (both female) and one of them was very healthy upstairs

My Deck hockey season, and maybe career ended Thursday night. I was playing center and just entered the zone and passed it over to my left wing. He tried to pass it right back to me but it was headed toward the dman that was between me and the next. I reached out to try to poke the ball past him and my right foot slipped on the wet plastic court. In turn all my weight ended up on my left leg which not in a position to handle it. My ankle bent outward and the pressure released through my newly broken fibula. The good news is that it was my left leg and I'll be able to drive at some point here and it was the smaller fibula instead of the weight barring tibia. The bad news is that I'm going in for surgery on monday and they are going to put a couple screws to hold together my ankle (I did some ligament damage) and possibly a plate so my fibula (broken in 3 places) heals properly. Safe to say that I'm out of commission for a few weeks and probably not going to get around to well for at least a few months.

mini rant about minor hockey.Who's retarded idea was it to change the age groups so Midget is now 15, 16, 17? This is already the age group that has the biggest discrepency in the size and physical maturity level of kids, Plus the age where most players are more concerned with throwing a bone crushing hit than scoring a goal, and now we have pre-pubescent teenagers playing on the same ice as bearded, full grown men. It is a recipe for disaster.I'm the asst coach on a Midget B team in lethbridge this year. All the 16 and 17 year olds in Lethbridge end up playing AAA, AA, or tier 1. Our team is comprised of one 17 year old, one 16 year old, and sixteen 15 year olds. We travel to surrounding small towns and play the only team from that town, comprised of 75% 16+ year olds, and we predictably get destroyed physically. We started the season with 17 skaters, and we currently have 8 injured players, including 3 concussions. There are certain teams that I almost don't even want to send my kids onto the ice against.

Wow Dubey, that sucks. Its unfortunate, but things like that leave a really bad impression of junior hockey to many of us.and get well soon Dev, sorry to hear about the injury. I guess deck hockey is played on plactic surfaces? Where do you find these? We play ball hockey on concrete surfaces usually.

That is just a plethora of additional and entirely unnecessary information. Well done sir. You've nursed at the correct FCP tit. Hope your knee feels better, let me know if I should send a hookergram.

What did midget used to be? My last age group for hockey was MJ, which was 16, 17, 18. 15-17 doesn't seem much different to me but I guess it probably is?

When I was playing, Midget was 16-17, which is way, way better. In other news we played last night and lost two more kids to injury. Our two best players. One with a concussion and the other with a seperated shoulder, both went to hospital. Another kid got suspended. We had to play with 7 skaters for the last 2 periods of the game.luckily it is christmas break now and we don't play for 2 weeks. If we had a game tomorrow, we wouldn't be able to ice a lineup.

If you need another player. I will fly my 14 year old out. He is a brutal skater however but plays hard.

This is brutal stories about all the injuries in Dubey's league..In our league, thank goodness nothing like that...The only issue we had this week was our goalie was crying after he let in a couple of goals.I think we handled it well...The other kids were very good and they all encouraged him..He went on to make some serious saves after..Its very funny to see the dads, when their son doesnt like being goalie(in our league every kid takes a game in net)...One dad told me PHEW he hates goalie...

Re: Plastic Courts/Dev's picture. I've played on a couple of those around here, but the majority of our games are on conrete. I really like the way the ball comes off the plastic with my shooting+passing, but the ball does get bouncy though.Re: Dubey's team. Your updates are making me sad. WTF is wrong with your league? No offence, I dont know jack about midget hockey....but have you considered pulling your team out? Have any parents?

Think of midget hockey as the east coast league of minor hockey. The kids playing midget didn't get grabbed up for Junior A, B, C, etc.... They understand the game well enough to know that they aren't going to go anywhere as a skill player, but they like to hit and play tough. With that being said, the guys still playing at the midget ages usually love the game too....
