Also, I had the 2nd account. I still have it, its actually become my bet365 account, I never had one before you guys. If it's the latter, the odds in the final game should reflect the supposed inefficiencies your theory attempts to exploit. In theory, anyways. Odds are usually released only after the previous day's game has finished. You can sometimes get an earlier line, particularly for late West games or if you're in an AC or LV casino, but that's unusual and not really helpful. without looking at historical data, I'd guess that a good to great teams odds of getting swept in a series, given that they've already lost all of the previous games before the last game of the series is exactly equal to the odds of them losing any other random game against the same team in the same season. This seems like textbook gambler's fallacy to me. There is some psychology behind the possibility that teams look to 'avoid sweeps', but considering odds are released day-of, I find it very unlikely this would not be fully considered by the odds, as Zach and Sev implied. As a Martingale target, you could do worse. But as we all know, Martingale is a terrible strategy, so it's still not 'good.' Yankees are definitely not one of the 7 best teams in baseball. Then again, considering their spending abilities, you could argue (I wouldn't, but you could), they are close to the 7th most likely to win, since if they are in contention, they can go sign/trade for 6 guys at the deadline.
