Not clutch.

Glad you won! I'll probably be scalin back the volume for the playoffs, since I never feel too confident on short slates, but we'll see how I feel about my lineup once the weekend rolls around.   Af

At the Pens practice facility and Rick Tochett ends up standing next to me. It took every ounce of self control to not engage him in a conversation about the Rick Tochett Experience.

Yet I've been betting on sports for years online...

I guess I could now go downtown to bet at some point but meh. Couch betting is better.

So true. I just bet online or with my local. No effect me. Maybe lines will get better with more competition.

Betting online in the US is illegal. At best it’s grey. Betting with a bookie is totally illegal. Having legal betting is a huge step. I’m sure the legal betting operations will have mobile options.

This is definitely a major step, but just to be clear, this doesn't legalize sports betting. Just paves the way for states to legalize it if they so choose.

Many states are still unlikely to pass any meaningful legislation that will legalize sports betting. It opens the door for some states to enter the industry, but I'm guessing the total number will still be pretty small for the next few years.

For example, I live in Iowa and I'm doubtful we see any progress towards legalization.

Looks like Draftkings will be all over it. Will be interesting to see which states jump in first.

Let’s go California

There is no law in Michigan that said sports betting was illegal. There is no licensed sports betting here so maybe that will change but the state never made it illegal to use online or offshore betting sites. I've been using Bovado with no issue. Each state is different as Adam in NY cannot use Bovado.

Personally I just want my effing Poker Stars back.

its a grey area at best..Not illegal technically, but certainly not legal..

Certain states had passed legislation in anticipation of this ruling.

NJ, Conneticut, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Mississippi all have legislation in place and will probably be good to go very soon..

Then there are states California, Michigan , New York and several others have introduced legislation and will most likely pass and legalized sports betting soon..

This is such a HUGE event and one that was coming....

Its a bit of a political issue that might be considered a win for some..Ginsburg, Breyer and Sotomayor all voted against, coincidentally are all liberal judges.

Thanks to ex New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for making this happen.

And hopefully yes, lets get PokerStars back as well.

If something specific is not illegal, it is by definition legal.

In this case its not that simple..Online poker in the US is not regulated..You cant be charged for playing online poker..However its pretty stupid in my opinion to use sited like ACR and Bovada for any significant money as its not regulated.

While its technically not illegal, since its not regulated you cant fund the accounts through banks, credit cards or normal ways. Crypto currency is the major way to fund these sites..

So ya not illegal , but not really legal either.

You almost got there. It’s de facto legal. It’s just unregulated and potentially risky, in your estimation.

I've cashed out multiple times with Bovado. Started with $25 to test it out. Been pleased with it every step of the way. I've received my 2 previous cash outs and I've got my Kentucky Derby winnings check coming next week. Cash outs are usually within 10 days. If you're in the US and your state allows it, it's pretty good. Poker is meh. Not very populated it if you like SNGs. Ring games are populated. Tourneys are meh as well. Good bonuses.

I’ve cashed a few times from there. Check for $1500 took a couple of weeks. Then I thought the anonymous tables are weird. Acr is by far the better site. But they have had so many issues lately.

Both have their positives and negatives, but I think Bovada is infinitely better overall than ACR. I played regularly on both for several years but eventually switched full time to Bovada.

Tournament selection and structure are way better on Bovada...ACR literally has some of stupidest blind structures I've ever seen and runs the most insane late reg system. All of their tournaments drag on forever because they offer virtually no turbo formats and allow late registration and rebuys for a ridiculous length of time.

Cash games are much softer on Bovada although the anonymous table thing is most certainly a disadvantage to good players. You also cannot select your own tables...you select the stakes and it auto seats you which is extremely annoying when it keeps putting you at an empty table. No waitlist or anything like that.

I typically receive my Bovada bitcoin cashouts within 24 hours which is much faster than my last couple of ACR cashouts.

Both have terrible/lack of bonus offers on deposits. ACR has a superior reward program, but you have to really grind to make it worthwhile. Bovada does offer reward points but they accumulate pretty slowly in my experience.

Bovada sportsbook > > > ACR sportsbook.

Note to self. Don't leave your Bet365 account open on your computer for the wife to see.

Note to self. Don't leave your Bet365 account accessible when you think to yourself....I think tonight the Jets will beat Vegas, lets bet big.

OOPS!

I lost a nice chunk of what I made betting with them against SJS.
