Not clutch.

Glad you won! I'll probably be scalin back the volume for the playoffs, since I never feel too confident on short slates, but we'll see how I feel about my lineup once the weekend rolls around.   Af

At the Pens practice facility and Rick Tochett ends up standing next to me. It took every ounce of self control to not engage him in a conversation about the Rick Tochett Experience.

Please remember that once you pick you can't change and only pick 5 teams or you will mess it up.

That's....super unfortunate. Hopefully nobody misclicks.

In the future I'm going to wait until 12:55 to submit all my picks.

I am going to wait near the end to submit my picks. I was going to change one of my games but could not.

I smell a 0-5 for me this week.

Got a question for you guys:

Do you play DFS? If so, if you aren't someone who pores over the stats and sites that give you "tips", don't you feel like you are just part of a scheme?

I havent tried football at all, but when I played hockey (only 1 or 2 nights), I felt like the cap system used, along with the specific stats, allowed for manipulation based on knowing the system, and less about actual sports knowledge.

I'm curious to hear your thoughts as fellow sports gamblers.

Looks like we are opposite on that MNF late game.

I'm so mad that I won't get a chance to be on the couch all day. I'm on the ice from like 3pm to 10pm today, officiating for like 5 hours, then playing myself for one. I think I have like an hour break. It's only the start of September and I've already done like 40 games, so many intersquad, exhibition games already. I feel like I'm in much better shape though.

I have Federer futures at 5:1 for about $200. Bet365 is offering me $400. I think the real offer should be around $480 since he is about 2.1 right now. I think I'm going to let it ride.

I am heavy into it..I am still learning and studying up on it...From what I read DFS is more skillful than poker. There are a lot of guys that are professional DFS players.

If you are just clicking buttons and not doing research you will probably not too well..There are a lot of research tools out there that I use..

DFS vs Poker is a great argument Arp..DFS here is so heavily promoted now, I am sure in Canada as well..But every other commercial on a sports show is Draftkings or Fanduel(Now Yahoo is heavily invested into their own product as well).

Poker players are really really pissed off that DFS is legal and regulated while we here in America cant play poker legally still. We recently had the PokerStars pros do a tour in California and I attended a few stops. The main argument we have is just look at DFS and allow poker legally here..We have a bill in California now that has been shut down again till next year..Its really frustrating for poker players.

I am not sure about the rest of the States but the main lobbyists against online poker in California seems to be the Indian Casinos.

BTW make sure you get your $20 Draftkings entry in to win the massive $2 million first prize today..

I have the same Federer futures bet rolling at 5-1..I am going to let it ride..Federer seems to be rolling well and he did beat Djokovic in Cincinnati recently...Lets go Feds

Also, I think guys like Bob+Chris might know this best, but Im wondering....how does DFS/others get away from the same laws that tripped up poker sites?

Is DFS/others American, or off shore somewhere too.

Because it's considered a game of skill.

This timezone is messing me up..I was all ready for the US open , Jays, NFL channel surfing..I realize now that US open is 1pm Pacific and NOT 1pm Eastern.

BTW my magic box is the greatest thing ever...I have a box similar to the Apple TV that Chris has been promoting for years..

I get every sporting event live, all pay per views and all brand new movies..Its still legal as we are just streaming whats on the internet.

One of these days, we need to sit down in real life and you have to explain this Apple TV box thing to me. It sounds amazing, and I'm just too much of an idiot to understand how it works.

I have Digistream..Its pretty sick..

Just think of it as a streaming tool, that does all the searching for you..

I watched Straight out of Compton in 1080P week after it came out.

I know but Id love to know if that was ever "argued" anywhere. Like, did they just set it up and are they allowed to run this type of "gambling".

What if I wanted to start up a similar site here in Canada....could I? Is it considered gambling? I am assuming 100% that it is.

see, this is the part that gets me. I didnt play hockey because the stats were too specific, outside the base stats. It wasnt about hockey, it was about blocked shots and hits or some silly stats,

I dont know how they playerd football, maybe its just simple yards+TDs

I think the ads out there are going to get a bunch of players and they are already huge, but at some point, arent the casual players going to leave because of the overall setup?

I feel like if hockey was just goals and assists, it would be a much more "casual player" friendly game.

I deposited $50, played $10, waiting to blow the other $40 sometime.

Are you sports events HD Serge? I have a friend with a similar box (I think its similar) and sports sucks on it. Or he cant find the HD feeds.

It depends on the sport..Some are very quality HD, some are not...You get used to it after a while..I mean if the Jays game is on regular TV(which lately more and more have been) I watch the regular version. But the quality for me is more than adequate as I am not a HD slut as some of my friends are...I watched the Mayweather pay per view last night and it was very good quality.

The main sell on the box are the movies...When the movie first comes out , its available that Friday with a handheld cam version. However within a few days to a week, you get full 1080p quality movies..Also any tv show that has ever aired, every episode in HD quality.

I dont think the average player will leave. Average player isnt looking to make money consistently, but are looking to have fun watching games....You probably know that 90%, or maybe even higher percent of poker players are losing and recreational players.

The carrot of winning $2 million for a $20 entry today is just too juicy and fun to pass up for most gamblers.

Remember Arp you are in the top 5% of fantasy players, maybe even top 1% ...
