Arya was so close!

I did have a sadness wash over for me the last 15 minutes, with the inevitable waiting to happen, even though TV Robb was kind of a dick. Setting up his wife to be pregnant, just so she could get stabbed in the stomach a whole bunch, is a weird way to take that.

I am curious as to what the season will end with. Joffrey's wedding will have to be next season?

OMG you geeks. We like Game of Thrones, that doesn't mean you have immunity. No one cares about your faggot fantasy books. If HBO spends $100 mil making it a tv show, I'll give it a go. Otherwise, gtf

If SA's goal was to make the continued topic of conversation in this thread so insufferable that I almost don't care what he spoils anymore, his law degree just paid off.

no, i can actually read.

I am not clicking that, but the concept of someone recording themselves while watching tv just to put it online makes me loathe them so much

to be fair most of them are group shots or appear to be shot by somebody else who probably knew what was coming and wanted to get the reaction filmed

lol it wasn't like that, Ron. It was 3rd parties who obviously had read the book who know whats coming, recording their friend's reactions. Like those 2 girls 1 cup reaction videos, except less vomit

Still awful. Reaction shots = people overacting for the benefit of the camera.

Clearly I hate people, and attention whores. Yes, I appreciate the irony

disagree, i think it will be in the finale

I'm having deja vu.

Joffrey's wedding is very soon after the Red Wedding in the books. It's going to be early in the season. Then Tyrion will go to jail, there will be the fight between the Mountain and the Red Viper, then the finale will be Tyrion killing Tywin and sailing off to find wherever whores go. Oh, and Catelyn coming back will probably be the very, very end of next season. Like that will be the final image; her sentencing those dudes to die, they get killed, fade to black.

I have no idea where they are with Jon's story on the show. Or Daenerys.

Next week's episode is called Mhysa, so that leads me to believe it will be Dany centric. I really do think Joff's wedding would be a sick 1-2 punch though, it's probably wish thinking on my part

The description on HBO reads "Joffrey challenges Tywin; Bran tells a ghost story; Daenerys waits to see if she is a conqueror or a liberator."

So I watched season 1 when it was on, but then hadn't watched any more until about a month ago. I started at the beginning and am now up to date. What a fucking great show and great story. The first season is such a knockout. The show is still amazing but that first season, wow.

I wasn't nearly as shocked by the Red Wedding as I was by Ned Stark's death, but I was quite surprised, and saddened. I was thinking the episode would end with Arya reuniting with her mother, and everybody would be happy for once. Not so much. Once you know that they'll kill off a Ned Stark though, you're ready for anything.

Each season covers about 1 book, right? So y'all are debating Joffrey's wedding cuz it happens at the end of book 3?

The third book is the longest of the five, and so much happens that they split it up into two seasons. The Red Wedding occurs about 2/3 of the way through the book. Hopefully they start moving some of the stuff from book 4 into next season, because there isn't enough material for another 10 episodes just in 3.

Books 4 and 5 should pretty obviously be combined for TV purposes. They basically cover the same time period, so it wouldn't be that difficult to do.

What is the main obstacle to filming the rest of the series all at once? Because books 4 and 5 are already written and they've stayed very faithful to the books, couldn't they film the next three seasons now while the kids are still relatively young?

Then just take a very extended break until both books 6 and 7 are completed. What would that be? 10 years? You would then just recast everyone that needs it.
