I just hope all of this is just an act for the internet.

If not, it explains quite a bit about happy hour and brunch invites, or the lack thereof

too soon man.

OMG you geeks. We like Game of Thrones, that doesn't mean you have immunity. No one cares about your faggot fantasy books. If HBO spends $100 mil making it a tv show, I'll give it a go. Otherwise, gtf

If SA's goal was to make the continued topic of conversation in this thread so insufferable that I almost don't care what he spoils anymore, his law degree just paid off.

no, i can actually read.

that did hurt a little. in real life i try very hard to get people to like me. but they never do. they never do.

Don't try to be what other people want you to be. My experience is that if you just always act exactly how you want to act, there are almost never any meaningful consequences. That's kind of why losing Joffrey hit me so hard.

How has that kid not won every acting award known to man, Golden Globe, Emmy, SAG, whatever else? Has anyone in the recent past made the public hate him (or in Dutch's case, swoon) as much as Joffrey has?

I think GOT misses out on a lot of acting awards due to how long each character is on screen. Not many characters get a ton of TV time. Tyrion probably gets the most time and he gets all the noms. Also because he is really good.

I think Joffrey is worthy of a nomination, maybe even Tywin

2014 SAG for best actor - Peter Dinklage (lost)

2011 Emmy for best supporting actor - Peter Dinklage (won)

I did feel a little spoiled by Thera's comment...think you guys might want to go back and edit that out?

I'm sorry if I ruined the suspense of the Iron Bank getting involved.

With Dany, I only meant I didn't care for her book story-arc. Which could very well end up different on the show, mostly because of time.

so can we discuss the difference between the book and a scene that has aired without getting suited?

because the internet is all aflutter about something from this week's episode...

there's a great article on grant land today that covers the differences between the book and the show for the rapey scene. no spoilers either, so everyone's panties can stay clean.

I do think the difference between the way the scene was acted out in the show vs the is a fundamental deviation in the way the characters' stories are informed and could/should have significant impact on the storyline between the characters.
