Yea..That hand made me O.O at the snap call. Check/Call the flop and Checked the turn though.Probably not doing that with an Ace. Guess that is the way he figured it.

no doubt. I thought the sequence was a clear indicator that his 4's were beat. He snapped that call like he had AT

Like he only beats the worst of your range, he made the right play but for all the wrong reasons

Thoughts? I just don't think he's limping Ax here. I banked because a set could play this way, or more likely a missed underpair, missed flush with top pair, if limped AQ/AT. Maybe AJ, but he just felt a bit weaker in the river bet size. I concluded that there was actually value here to a smallish raise now that i connected for top and bottom. Hopefully I can at least learn something from the gurus here in this crippling hand. 10BBs left or so. He could have a lot of stupid things there. I think it's the right play but he had a better hand. Also, if I were playing I'd punch that Austrian in the face.

i don't like him one bit. raising my BB every time, flatting any raise i make on button and reverse floating with reckless disregard. I just haven't gotten much of a hand in this table yet to make him pay.

Check/raising here is probably the worst option possible on the river. I would either bet/fold, or just flip a coin on whether you want to call or check/fold. I guess either one is fine, but I think check/folding is better. He's an ep limper who has fired 3 streets into you, what do you think he's value betting there? You're basically only beating a bluff.I would also fold the turn, unless you hit a 2 on the river, or an ace, what river are you going to be happy calling a bet with? Even with those rivers it sucks calling a bet.I also think this a fold preflop. There are very few spots where you can effectively play a2ss from the small blind with an ep limper with 25 bbs and a big blind with 15bbs. These are things you have to take into consideration if you're going to play a hand like this. It doesn't matter the skill level, unless you flop the nuts you're going to be lost in the hand playing a2ss OOP.

It's players like that who single someone out that get you really aggravated. I know I would have been. He played retarded and just ended up showing up with a hand every time.

fold PF for sure. I appreciate the explanation of the rest too. I feel like I'm developing a strong 2-3rd gear in this game...but still a ways to go.
