AimHigher 0
Calling stations like to call, they don't like to bet or raise, so you need to do the betting for them.bet 650 on the flop and that'll leave him like 1800 on the turn, the pot will be 2300ish and you can just put him in. As played I just check/jam because if he's calling a raise he's calling a jam.

Biff Goods 0
If you bet more on the flop it would have been harder for him to fold the turn shove.
XXEddie 0
check to a 'calling station' is like lighting money on fire.

rrumsey 0
such a safe turn, bet and get value. i would bet decently small to spazz induce or just shove him on the turn. not too many wrong moves here besides checking and risking the chance he doesnt bet. as played easiest shove in the world. he may have a set or a really good kinda draw. or 2 pair. i mean this line makes no sense unless your plan is to shove. but we dont wanna give free cards. have a clear plan for the hand preflop, on the flop, and the turn, and the river if you get there. your plan when you flop the current nuts is to win his stack. nbet and at some point get it in. plan plan plan. If you're trapping you have to do that on the flop. You definitely cannot check the turn at these levels because if he bets, like he did, a check/raise makes it obvious that you have a big hand. However, once you did check, I think I might just call because he may put you on four to the flush. To me a check call would very much look like a draw. Sometimes I get greedy it backfires, but how often are you going to flop that hand. Once you do you want to get paid off big time. It's heads up so you're opponent most likely doesn't have a flush draw. If a card other than a club comes on the river he may put you on a missed draw and make a big bluff. Checking the turn is a big mistake IMO, but check raising it only compounded the mistake. Can I get anyones thoughts on my reasoning for check calling the turn as opposed to check raising?
