Dubey 1,035
I usually end up playing a poker a lot at the casino I'm staying at. I don't want to play at Balley's (do they even have a room?) so this should force me to get out to some different poker rooms over the course of my trip.
serge 904
I might be there first week of June as well, who knows. Planning a guys trip too at some point if I can squeeze it in. (This one is with the Wife) I have done double digit trips of both..One with and one without wife...Very separate trips..Both fun in their own way

Dubey 1,035
Yeah Serge, I've done a few trips with my Wife. My parents are going along for this one too which is actually good since my Mom likes to play slots, as does my wife, and my Dad and I like playing poker. My wife actually pushed for this trip since she is pregnant (have I mentioned this?), and wants to do some baby shopping. Plus she has been going to school and working full time, and being pregnant for the last 4 months and she desperately needs a break and some sunshine and relaxation. I might be spending some more time at the pool than I am used to on this trip.
digitalmonkey 929
I've never been to Vegas. I am afraid.

MapleLeafpoker 1,462
Congrats on the pregnancy, all the best!! Serge, I almost never end up actually watching hockey. A few games here and there, but its usually just because a) we have a suite, and we are all getting ready, drinking+munching in the suite, and its what on the TV b) on the tv at the MGM poker room c) Zach is in town Frankly, by the time May comes around, I'm slowly out of hockey, its dragged on too long for me. Make it June in Vegas, and I always find something I would rather do. Pool/Poker/Nap/Drink...

MapleLeafpoker 1,462
Ya I m similar. But put a hundo on a game. Then you watch Exactly! Love to bet on NBA semis/finals when were there, seems like more of the crowd is into that, esp if there are any Cali teams involved. I'm the biggest Belmont fan every year that it falls on the right Saturday in June. Couldnt tell you jack about horse racing the rest of the year.

mrdannyg 274
Woohoo, congrats Dubestar! You're right that its a huge change, but if you feel ready, you are absolutely ready. I always tell people that kids aren't for everyone, but if you feel like they even might be for you, you'll wonder what the point of your life was before them.
MapleLeafpoker 1,462
btw, this Dubey announcement feels very deja vu.....I think this was where Danny announced his wife was pregnant, and maybe even Serge too? lol
Dubey 1,035
haha. Must be a natural reaction to start longing for vegas as soon as you find out you won't be going there very often in the immediate future.

Must be a natural reaction to start longing for vegas as soon as you find out you won't be going there very often in the immediate future. I was not in Vegas for nearly 10 years but now have been going in the last 3 years. Trying to work one out for this year. If we have a fcp one in June I probably can make it. Maybe hit the frozen fury in sept again. Lol Kids are not an excuse to not go. I drove to the Grand Canyon and they still talk about it
serge 904
I want to do an extendo trip this year. Maybe do a like 10-14 days. I never have enough time time to lazy around the pool. My poker sessions are like 6-7 hours. Also I've been over 20 times but never seen Hoover dam or Grand Canyon Might do that

Dubey 1,035
I've been ~15 times and never done any sightseeing whatsoever.
MapleLeafpoker 1,462
I've been ~15 times and never done any sightseeing whatsoever. I was gonna say the same thing, but honestly, walking out of the Rhino at 9am and into a bright sunny day was a sight to see, so really, it doesn't get much more "sightseeing" than that.
