I dont know why any of you stay anywhere other than MGM. Its big, the poker room is full of tourist fishes like me, plus its......big.

I honestly don't like MGM at all. Not even the one in Detroit.

I've stayed at Ballys, Stratisphere, imperial, and bobs gambling salon.

Order if rooms from best to worst.

Here's a quick synopsis: ( provided a running commentary on twitter too with pictures)   Thursday 5:30 AM: Woke up the boy for hockey practice. He was tired and cranky LOL. Drove up the the airport

Another trip done. Stayed at Bellagio 3 nights during work, 5 nights at the suite at MGM for fun. Some highlights I thought some of you would appreciate:   - Noodles at Bellagio. 3 meals, which is

So my little drummer boy son is a big ACDC fan, and an even bigger beatles fan. So on the Thursday of Superbowl weekend, I'm going to tell him I'm going to drive him to school. Instead, I'm driving

Ah yes Bills. I was so amazed when I got there and liz and I are like, oops. Hookers at the elevator, crappy casino. But the room was awesome. Clean and very recently updated. Awesome bathroom.

$.99 margaritas was nice as well.

IP is still there. It's called The Quad now. Renovated casino that looks nice from the strip, rooms are the same as far as I know. I don't think they touched that part yet.

I stayed at Bill's right after they renovated it from being Barbary Coast. It was quite awesome.

Navybuttons stayed in a sick suite with a hot tub, lol. The regular rooms were nicer though, I think. This would have been like 2008 or so. Maybe 09.

$49 a night for proximity to everything on the Strip. Sucks for non-gamblers as there is no pool. It's not a resort, etc. It did have a well known after hours club though.

thing is, I actually don't care much about the room. But if I'm paying a premium, I expect the room to be at least passable. If you blindfolded me and dropped me in the room, I would have guessed I was in the Imperial Palace or something.

I would be very disappointed if Caesar room is what you said it was. You expect something very nice and if you got a room similar to IP than that is disgusting.

I was impressed by the Monte Carlo room. It was clean and simple. Right on the strip and near MGM. The MGM room was extremely nice. However we only got a king bed and I had to share it with my son (who does not stop moving at night).

Well that's not what I wanted to hear a month before my first second trip to Vegas! We've already booked Caesar's. I guess I'll have to try the $20 trick,

No, just make sure you get one of the newly reno'd towers.... rooms there are awesome. I stayed there last year for a week, thought it was great...

I did stay there a few years ago and loved it.

Though, to be fair, I do remember loving that the Pizza place was open at 5 AM. It's possible that the food court closing at 12 this time around has distorted my entire view of the stablishment.

Mgm is my favourite.

I stayed at the Monte Carlo and it was okay. Nothing special but clean. When we switched to the MGM it was nice. Problem was we got a King bed and I had my son next to me who does not sleep still at night. Yes sleeping next to a 5'10 210lb kid does not work well. My favorite by far was the Trump. The $20 trick did wonders for our room.

My first time in vegas stayed at this beauty of a place. One night coming home at 4 am the lobby was closed with police tape all around it. Amazingly enough the casino got robbed about an hour before I got there.

My fav place will always be Flamingo "go rooms" nice and clean and I love how the elevators casino floor and sidewalk are all a few steps away. None of this walking a mile just to get to my room.

I've been told that all those "bans" mean is that if you do something else bannable, they'll run your name through their DB, and if it is in there, they might charge you with trespassing instead of just kicking you out. Or if you win a million bucks, they might try to keep it from you. They certainly aren't keeping you in some database and circulating your picture so you can't get back in obv.

They can and do. Generally, for being drunk and stupid, which is pretty much everyone in Vegas, they aren't going to really ban you from the property. But commit a crime, cheat, etc, and you will get banned. Then they will take your photo, enter it into their face recognition software, and when you walk onto the property, the security room will get an alert. They will decide then what to do. They may let you go and just watch you, or you may find yourself quickly escorted out. The software is tres cool....

So Zach what was it? I would tend to believe it to be the first one.

Good point - I was only referring to the drunk/stupid stuff that I'm sure relates to Zach. Sounds like you've had a chance to see that software, which sounds cool as hell.
