Featured Table: Phil Ivey vs. Daniel NegreanuLevel 6: 400-800, 100 anteTable 49 is the featured table today, with both Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu. We'll be paying close attention to the action there throughout the day. Moroun Jazzar raises from the cutoff to 2,200, Daniel Negreanu reraises from the button to 6,200, and Jazzar calls. The flop comes KK8, Jazzar checks, Negreanu bets about 8,000, and Jazzar folds. Negreanu takes the pot. Two hands later, Negreanu raises from late position to 2,500, and Phil Ivey calls from the big blind. Both players check to the turn on a board of J852, Ivey bets 4,000, and Negreanu calls. The river card is the 7, and both players check. Ivey says, "Five," and shows 65 for a pair of fives. Negreanu laughs and says, "Oh boy, if diamonds came ..." Negreanu turns over 32 for a pair of deuces, and Ivey takes the pot. Phil Ivey - 180,000 (225 bb)Daniel Negreanu - 143,000 (178 bb)The next hand, Negreanu raises from middle position to 1,800, a player calls from late position, and Curt Kohlberg calls from the big blind. The flop comes KJ4, Kohlberg checks, Negreanu bets 3,000, the late-position player calls, and Kohlberg folds. The turn card is the 5, Negreanu bets 15,000, and his opponent calls. The river card is the J, and both players check. Negreanu shows 54 for two pair on the turn that was counterfeited on the river. His opponent shows AK, rivering a higher two pair with the second jack on the river to win the pot. Ivey teases Negreanu, saying, "Two-three, four-five." Negreanu played low suited-connectors in back-to-back pots, and lost both of them.Daniel Negreanu - 122,500 (153 bb)

More Late ArrivalsLevel 7: 500-1,000, 100 anteWe're now up to 187 players as more and more pros keep filing into the Fontana Lounge. John Hennigan is here, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson is getting situated at his table which already features Eric Baldwin, Dwyte Pilgrim, Justin Bonomo, Tommy Vedes, and Brian Lemke, and Phil Hellmuth just sat down as well. While Hellmuth recently announced he will be making his WSOP grand entrance dressed as an MMA fighter, he elected to skip the fighter gear today and is donning his typical costume...er... black jacket instead.I really really really hope he keeps his shirt on

looking to be a stacked final table of 6 Level 22: 15,000-30,000, 4,000 ante Here are the approximate chip counts: Seat 1. Scotty Nguyen - 2,650,000 Seat 2. Phil Hellmuth - 550,000 Seat 3. Nikolay Evdakov - 730,000 Seat 4. John O'Shea - 4,100,000 Seat 5. Billy Baxter - 2,200,000 Seat 6. Eric Baldwin - 1,900,000 Seat 7. David Williams - 4,000,000 Seat 8. David Benyamine - 2,060,000 Seat 9. Shawn Buchanan - 1,200,000 Hands #10-11: Cliff Josephy Eliminated in 10th Place ($56,439) Level 22: 15,000-30,000, 4,000 ante Hand #10 - David Benyamine raises from middle position to 80,000, and Eric Baldwin calls from the big blind. The flop comes 10club.gif5club.gif4club.gif, Baldwin checks, Benyamine bets 132,000, and Baldwin folds. David Benyamine takes the pot. Hand #11 - Cliff Josephy raises from middle position to 75,000, and David Williams calls from the big blind. The flop comes 9club.gif8club.gif6spade.gif, Williams checks, Josephy bets 130,000, and Williams check-raises to 400,000. Josephy moves all in for 1,110,000, and Williams calls with 10club.gif7club.gif for a ten-high straight with an open-ended straight-flush draw. Josephy shows 9heart.gif9spade.gif for a set of nines, and he'll need to improve to stay alive. The turn card is the 5spade.gif, and the river pairs the board with the 6club.gif. Josephy rivers a full house, but the same card gives Williams a ten-high straight flush. Both players react strongly -- Williams with joy, and Josephy with disgust. (That's poker.) Cliff Josephy is eliminated in 10th place. David Williams - 3,300,000 (110 bb) Cliff Josephy - Out in 10th Place ($56,439)

Yah if Helmuth stays in (they are down to 7) it will make for really good T.V. FT looks fun.

does 9 - 3 have a name? Maybe he is looking to have 93o named 'The Jaka' ?
This old poker house I used to play at called 92 the "Montana Banana", for unknown reasons. I think somebody just thought it was clever and it kinda stuck.
