Mainly because i dont think i am at the level to play the bigger ones. If interested please pm me. only looking for serous responses... thank you

Serious reply: no one you want doing this is going to do it for free unless you're already good friends with them. If you want to get serious about improving, get a membership to a training site and study on your own before you try and get a coach.

As opposed to a Coach what might help you is to get is a poker buddy. Somebody who maybe is in a similar spot as you are and you if you both take things seriously you can bounce ideas off each other and help you both progress.

Not this. I'd look at pokerxfactor (even though it's not as great anymore) or pokersavvy plus if you're looking for strictly MTT training. Deucescracked is really good if you hope to dabble in cash at all--it also has some really good MTT content but not a lot of it.

no it isn't. Compared to any other training site it is not worth the price.
I'll coach you for MTTS if you want for an hourly wage. PM me if you are interested.
If you got the money this would be the most effective use of your time. Depending on your BI level it might be overkill though.

if your looking for a good coach, he might be pricey but your going to get someone who knows the game and who knows what the hell they are doing on line and live. My guess looshle is well worth the bucks. My recommendation for sure

How much do these things cost?I looked at PokerVT, because I am very interested in DN's small ball style, but it is out of the price range I could realistically think of spending.

PXF is $25/month + a one-time $120 sign-up fee. Pokersavvy+ is also $25/month I believe. I'd recommend doing it even if it's "out of your price range" if you're serious about improving; in the end, learning these concepts should return that investment+ a lot more in the long run. I'd stay away from PokerVT because afaik there isn't a ton of content and smallball is meh and will not help at all except in very well structured tournaments, which you won't find online/at a lot of casinos.

Yea that is one of my problems. I am a huge Math guy as I have a mathematics degree, but I find it hard to apply the fundamentals because of the structure of most of the tournaments I play.Is there a sign up fee for PokerSavvy?I could afford to pay it, but it would mean me cutting down on actually playing the game. Which is the opposite of what I want to do, I want to play more, not less.Would be interested which people think is the best before I just plunge in.EDIT - Do any of them use PayPal?

Pokersavvy uses Paypal...it's been awhile since I originally signed up, but I don't recall a sign-up fee and quickly looking at the site now I don't see one either. They also have a promotion going on now where if you purchase a 3/6/12 month subscription you get an extra 1/2/3 months free. I'd def recommend going this route since they have a big roster of very good MTT players and it's a really good deal.

You can get the small ball stuff from the latest book too.
DN's book?I find it interesting, in DN's own forums that the majority tip AGAINST using PokerVT.

There are plenty of fair minded people on this forum who started as rabid fanboys. DN is a great tournament player. He has a style that allows him to dismantle inexperienced opponents extremely well, and live tournament experience that maybe a dozen people on earth can match. That doesn't mean that nobody else teaches a similar style, and it doesn't mean that the content level of his product is superior to everything else in the marketplace, especially for the price. Like kurt said, you can get the majority of what's on pokerVT conceptually from his latest book. If you do get the book, however, you'll probably be better off completely removing the non DN portions.

I don't have any connection to Poker VT and I haven't looked at anything on there in over a year and I don't use any online training sites since I'm old and set in my limit holdem ways but if I was going to start to play any new games on a regular basis I probably would join them all but that's within my financial comfort zone so keep this in mind with what I'm going to say.I think part of the reason people are making the suggestions that they are is that they have memberships at the places that they're suggesting and probably not at Poker VT and they think the quality of the instruction is good where they are members. Daniel does have a good small ball section at Poker VT but that alone wouldn't be worth the money. Here's a link to the list of Poker VT instructors. http://www.pokervt.com/our_pros.cfmPeople like Annette and Paul Wasicka have very little content so I wouldn't consider their presence in any decision you might make.If you look at the list most of them are mostly known as tournament players and I'm pretty sure the tournament poker content there is quite good. Where Poker VT is lacking I think is in games other than NL Holdem and I'm not sure about the NL Holdem Cash instruction. My understanding is that Jason Somerville (JCarver online ) took a real lead in providing content both from himself and others. He's a very successful tournament player and enthusiastic teacher. Is Poker VT the best training site out there ? Probably not but for somebody looking for tournament instruction the quality is good but you have to decide if it fits your budget.
