Jadaki 0
I only wish this game was a little closerWas amazing how bad the officiating was in the first quarter, never seen a home team get so many bad calls against them since lakers/kings. I turned it off at the end of the first, it was pretty clear what was going to happen when Lebron is playing well and the refs handing them everything they missed anyway.Tim was right about the league wanting Lebron going deep into the playoffs.Sick duck on that fast break though, I didn't think he was going to pull that off.I'm going to laugh if the elbow excuse comes up again after that game. CaneBrain 95
haterI really think we need a "no whining about the refs if a team loses by 25 or more" rule.
Jadaki 0
I'm not whining about the refs because that series is sort of irrelevant anyway, neither of those teams is getting by Orlando. It was really obvious that reffing was horrible. Boston got a couple baskets waved off for offense fouls that never should have been called like that time Davis got called for a moving screen that Cleveland players were getting away with left and right. You could tell by the way the crowd was mocking the refs when Boston actually got a call. That wasn't a flagrant against Lebron either, that's a standard playoff foul. I've never seen such one sided calls going to an away team. Like I said, sure sort of backs Tim Donaghy's claims about the leagues officiating. I'd prefer we institute a no whining about (insert injury here) rule when you you can go from not being able to shoot a free throw to launching enough jumpers to put up 20+ points in a quarter. kobe2odom8 14
I keep hearing so many people think orlando will get by cleveland. I thnk cleveland is just too good t his year. If they end up matching up I'd love to make a big series bet.

Anything where the defender has gone in hard with the body first has been getting called a flagrant.Complaining about moving screens getting called is a bit funny since they could call one on pretty much every screen that is set, just more obvious with Davis being so huge. All that being said I do enjoy the Celtics being on the bad end of the refs bias for once since the refs cheat as much for them as any team and they are some of the biggest whiners about calls. This is an Atlanta team that barely snuck by a Milwaukee team missing Bogut. I dont love them against Cleveland because they dont create crazy matchup problems like last year. Turkoglu was the guy who really killed the Cavs last year (because they could not guard him and Rashard Lewis at the same time). Plus, I just assume that any team with Vince Carter will inevitably fall a little short.

keith crime 8
Why can't J just appreciate Lebron for once? He hasn't made a big deal about the elbow the media did - he was clearly hurting in the last game vs the bulls and he was clearly less aggressive than usual in games 1 and 2 vs Boston - obviously the media made a big deal about it because if he isn't aggressive like he usually is the cavs have a O% chance of beating anyonehis performance in the last game was epic and Jordan like why can't J just admit that once? Clearly the worst home loss in Boston history was caused by 1 or 2 ref calls and not the cavs shooting the lights out and dominated the glass -

But I'm not sure if you're confusing the celtics team with the online fans who are definitely (as a whole) some of the worst in the league. Though I guess with a big man rotation of Sheed, Perkins and KG you're going to get a lot of complaining. But Games 1 and 2 were definitely biased towards Cleveland (although like you said with expectations, that's more expected because it was on their homecourt and they have Lebron), I didn't think it was possible for a team to go 21 minutes without having a foul called on them, regardless of how many jumpers Boston were taking. Clearly the worst home loss in Boston history was caused by 1 or 2 ref calls and not the cavs shooting the lights out and dominated the glass -I don't think anybody here is blaming the refs for the loss. They had very little to do with it, the reffing was pretty bad (imo) and maybe stopped the celtics from making a few runs to try and cut the lead down, but Cleveland shot lights out and defended well while Boston played a terrible defensive scheme and couldn't move the ball. Most of that has nothing to do with the refs.
SuperJon 175
The Magic's last defeat was a 112-100 setback at San Antonio on April 2. They have lost only three times in their past 30 games, showing they are very much a team that can challenge the two No. 1 seeds, Cleveland and the Los Angeles Lakers. http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=300508001
Poppy_Hillis 11
Great Lakers Jazz game tonight. Both teams played really well in the 2nd half. Personally, I don't think sports get any better than when two pro basketball teams play well at the same time for an extended period of time. Also, almost a prime example why coaches don't like fouling up 3 and under 10 seconds left. It's the only way you can lose the game, you make your team have to make too many plays when all you have to do is defend against a 3.
Jadaki 0
Why can't J just appreciate Lebron for once? You really didn't read anything I wrote did you?His play in game 3 was impressive. Anytime you suddenly have to shoot a free throw left handed, you are the one bringing attention to it.
Jadaki 0
If the foul on Lebron was a flagrant in game 3 how was the one where Rondo got laid out not a flagrent?Seriously horrible officiating all around in this series. At least in game 4 it's been almost equally bad for both teams.

JoeyJoJo 18
You could tell by the way the crowd was mocking the refs when Boston actually got a call.Yes, the best way to rate the officiating is by the home crowd's reactions.Yeah I think this was an evenly called game and yet a horrendously called game. Rondo was fantastic. The refs made game 4 almost unwatchable. The Celtics have the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th best players on the court, right? I mean in general, Rondo was obviously the best player yesterday.Nash is awesome.

On some nights, Mo Williams or Jamison can sneak in there. Kinda reminds me of the Dallas Miami matchup from 2006.The Suns sweeping San Antonio is shocking given their history. I think the Lakers are in for a dogfight. Kinda sucks that both Western Semifinals were uncompetitive but I think we will be rewarded in the conference finals.
FCP Bob 1,311
I'll be rooting hard for the Suns but I think not having Lopez and his size is going to hurt them against the Lakers and all the length that they have. Amare is a pretty bad defensive player and I think the Lakers should just pound the ball inside as that's where they have a huge edge.
