I definitely didn't see any rust on El Tigre in the opening round. When I made the PM>TW bets, I was worried that Phil might not show up (I was really betting against Tiger). Now I'm hoping for the opposite, that Phil will stay on fire and win the thing with his talent. Either way, and I'll be happy. It's only a quarter of the way through, and I still feel that Tiger will fall off, but I have absolutely no evidence to support my hypothesis now.

dam, I wish I would've seen this thread earlier. I'd be in on the Top 5 bet for sure. He's tied for 7th...is this bet still available?

from what i saw yesterday, woods only hit one really bad approach all round (2nd at the 14th) but the flat stick let him down from 6ft-15ft which is where he usually nails them. if he had putted like he usually does he could conceivable have been 2 shots clear as he lipped at least 3 out and left one short. i can only see his putting getting better as the week goes on and feel he has to be considered the favourite going forward on yesterday's evidence.

I truly think that Woods is banging one of his chicks tonight who is not Elin. You can't go from having like 12 mistresses to quitting the puss cold turkey.
His pornstar road beef Joslyn James is stripping down the street from the Masters at a place called the Pink Pony from April 8-10.Article

Hit a bad approach shot on 17 as well.

I don't get this. I mean he's Tiger ****ing Woods, it's the Masters, he is the greatest golfer ever who has proved over and over again how great he really is and still you have a feeling that he will fall off. This guy lives for Majors. I sincerely believe that if he already had 19 majors in his bag he would have probably taken this entire year off ... but he hasn't and he is gunning for it, and he will put all his talent and all his heart into getting the best possible outcome, which for him is a win.I will sand by my prediction that he at least gets a top 5 and he will be contention on Sunday. I too will gladly eat crow if I am wrong!

Plus, the course sets up for him more than anyone (other than a couple other long hitters).Couples is the one who "should" obviously fall off but you never know.I think we might start having to take YE Yang seriously.

wheels fell off for Freddy. the brits are killing it though.
It's funny because they were interviewing Poulter I believe about the lack of success they were having in majors prior to this. Westwood is definitely due for a big win, but I can't say I'm rooting for him.

This is very true and I would like to see a duel between him and Tiger come Sunday.

Tied for 3rd right now :club:
Yup. Should be a good sweat even though I only have $20 on the line. He's definitely been impressive so far. He's putting the lights out so that could easily stop.....or continue.

watching at work with the sound off so hard to tell...but it looked like Mickelson just hit a wedge for his 2nd shot on 13. can anyone confirm what he hit? missed the tee shot, must have been hugeedit: couldn't possibly have been a wedge could it?

Choi seems to be the only consistent player today. Woods looks absolutely awful right now.
As I say that, Choi makes back to back bogeys. Phil hit that amazing shot on 13, then misses the short putt for eagle :club:

Congrats Phil! You are a true champion. And yes, I was impressed with what Tiger did also.
I'm happy for phil, especially with everything he has had to deal with. I believe I did call the impressive Tiger finish despite his sporadic play :club: Westwood, Kim, and Choi, are definitely rising stars and will get their share of victories in the future.
