Pivvy2001 0
Going at the end of August, staying at Hard Rock in the Casino Tower. Anyone have any experience there?Probably wouldnt have been my choice but its the bachelor party and his choice. Also looking for a good steakhouse, there are just so many to choose from. The Golden Steer. Trust me. Call ahead and say it is a bachelor party and they will give you a private room. You will have to adventure off the Strip, but it is worth it. On the Strip, Prime is my favorite, but is pricey. Others love Delmonico, but I had a lousy experience there (albeit I have only gone once -- due to the lousy experience).

What have I got to lose? Also, I am trying to decide whether or not to drag these guys to a show. Myself and Im pretty sure the bachelor, would be into it, but Im thinking some of the other fags will think its gay. Ive seen La Reve and loved it, Im leaning towards O. Naked_Cowboy 0
Carnevino in the palazzo is frequently rated as the best steakhouse in las vegas. It's mario batali's place. The 40+oz 2 person ribeye is one of the best things i've ever eaten. Also, get the mashed potatoes for sure.

I mean, if we're passing judgment like that and all......I'm just busting balls. You can't say fags and gay in the same sentence though. Then it becomes hate rhetoric. You can call something gay, or you can call someone a fag. But the use of both in the same sentence becomes hate speech. The gospel according to MSP.

Frankly, I can bring myself to spend the money but is there any bigger downer than after you've had a king's meal and youre feeling on top of the world, then the check comes and your dinner mates are utterly flabbergasted? Blaming you with there eyes at the atrocity that has been committed, that look that if they could they'd rather regurgitate the food then pay the bill?Maybe I should leave the restaurant to someone else. It puts a damper on things. That being said, why not do buffets or the mid-level restaurants at some of the casinos (i.e. Il Fornaio at NYNY), rather than steakhouses. Steak is pricey in Vegas. I'm not sure what your group's situations are financially, etc. That said in almost any group, even relatively affluent, for the size of a bach party, there's always at least one guy that is on a lower tier, who struggles to keep pace with 'the wolfpack'. I personally think buffet style eating is the way to go for bach parties. They just fit the profile of the trip better, as you can eat all you want, you get your food ASAP and can take as long or short as you want, etc. Everyone likes that one "really nice dinner", but perhaps make it known to the group what the plans are so it can be discussed.Just a few thoughts. Naked_Cowboy 0
Ok, then just go to Mesa. Make reservations a few days in advance or you won't get in. There are plenty of "vegas-cheap" options on the menu, and you can still get world class food.

Suited_Up 2
Firefly!! (Not for steak, but it's the best, and the bill will shock you in the opposite way)Leaving for Vegas tomorrow actually, I'd be surprised if we don't go at least twice.

Especially since we're right at the Hard Rock. There are just so many places to eat, its hard to narrow it down. Im thinking about trying Bouchon as well for another fine dining experience. Im thinking about trying Bouchon as well for another fine dining experience.Bouchon is fine, but I thought it was overpriced for what it was. I have been to the one in Vegas and just ate at the Bouchon in Napa and had similar experiences (just okay) both times. The steak frites are solid, but overall there is not a lot to recommend about it imo.

I have been there 4 times and had a great experience each time (including at two bachelor parties -- mine included). I always found the service and food to be top-notch and everyone that I have taken has had great feedback.

trussdude 0
The steakhouse at the Hard Rock was good when we had the FCP dinner there last year. The bone-in ribeye was very good.
nutzbuster 7
Carnevino and Cut.... tie for first imo.CUT for kobe wagyu beef and more interesting appetizers, desserts, otherwise Carnevino for redic aged steak. Both outstanding.SW at WynnN9NECraftsteakDelmonicoall very good imo. That Hard Rock place surprised me as well. That was a damn tasty dinner! Hip/clubby atmosphere too.Honorable mention (and a place I would happily return to again and again) Lawrys. Yes, like the seasoned salt Lawrys. This is delicious Prime rib, served old school style with mashed potatoes and gravy. F-ing yummy. And there's always In-n-Out (Animal) style obv, for the cheap. Better than Buger Bar imo, which I think has slipped a bit recently.Golden Steer steered us wrong. I had high hopes....but alas, fail boat.

Had one night of my bachelor party there was a good time.
