A Few Hands Looking For Comments

Recommended Posts

Should I have been betting more right from the get go? Because I was playing tight (was about a vpip of 60% on avg) if I did any raise everyone would fold. So I decided to not raise right away and just do the calling thing. I have a feeling he had a medium pocket pair, but i chased this one a bit. Never seen him lay down a pocket pair even with overcards on the boar. Not sure if this was a good chase or not, specially with a possible flush out there too..PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (9 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comMP2 ($4.23)Hero (MP3) ($2.84)CO ($4.33)Button ($5.01)SB ($0.94)BB ($1.58)UTG ($4.67)UTG+1 ($1.40)MP1 ($1)Preflop: Hero is MP3 with Qclub.gif, Kclub.gif2 folds, MP1 (poster) checks, 1 fold, Hero bets $0.06, 3 folds, BB calls $0.04, 1 foldFlop: ($0.15) 5club.gif, 3heart.gif, 7heart.gif(2 players)BB bets $0.08, Hero calls $0.08Turn: ($0.31) 9spade.gif(2 players)BB bets $0.14, Hero calls $0.14River: ($0.59) 6heart.gif(2 players)BB bets $0.30, Hero foldsTotal pot: $0.59 | Rake: $0

These don't fit. A VPIP of 60 is crazy loose, not tight.Anyway...Hand 1: Fine with preflop, fine with flop, but you have to bet the turn there. You hit your draw and you don't want to give someone a free card with the flush draw out there.Hand 2: Never, ever limp in early position with KJ. Raise it or fold it. At full ring I fold it in early position but I suppose an argument could be made for raising it 6-handed. As played, fold to the raise after you limp.Hand 3: What are you chasing on the flop, 6 outs to a K or Q? And when there is a flush draw and straight draws on the board? Blech, dump it.

I was surprised too, but I think he meant that the rest of the table had a VPIP of 60 on average, so he was playing tight compared to that.I agree with jm's comments on the hands.

hand #1- raise pre to .10-.12, call the small donk flop bet, bet turn 3/4 psb, bet river 3/4 psbhand #2- raise pre, fold to a 3 bet, if flatted and action same, call downhand #3- .08 pre, fold flop, fold turn, fold asap. when considering a peel, 2 overs it not enough, we need backdoor draws or something, bc we miss the overs a decent amount and need like 2 overs, bd flush and bd st8 draws to in theory justify a peel.
