Ottawa_Biatch 288
We could do something for the Brier between us all, the only thing is that in my opinion, it is one of the worst fields. It's missing Martin, Ferbey, and a few others. I pretty much think the Brier this year is Glenn Howard's to lose. He should absolutely destroy the competition for that. I just don't know how we would do it for that to make it some sort of fantasy pool draft thing.
digitalmonkey 929
I think Rick Nash is very close to being a superstar in the NHL. Right now I would consider him a very good player but I think he has that other gear that he needs to reach to be a superstar.

Ottawa_Biatch 288
I really hope Canada gets an insurance goal to help protect my bet on them to cover the spread (-2.5)
mrdannyg 274
Agreed. I agree that an Olympic curler should make that double in her sleep. I'm just saying that for your average joe smo, that is an extremely difficult shot. I agree though, if anything she should be hitting it on the outside of that rock to at worst blank the end, she has to know that the nose is a loss of the game.Gotcha, glad you agree. The wonderful thing about curling is that pretty much anyone could make any shot. I love it. But I definitely agree with you, your average joe maybe makes either of those shots half the time - probably much less. I think even very good curlers have difficulty hitting the double and sticking - the angle was more difficult than the announcers made it sound.btw, I realize I'm sounding very certain and authoritative. I don't know how not to do that, but it is not my intention. I am absolutely not an expert or pretending to be.

Zach6668 513
So... we went to Don Cherry's for this, because it was the closest sports bar I figured we could get good seats in. Me, my beautiful gf, RMunro (aka Westcostcanuck) and a couple other guys I didn't know ended up there with a pretty sweet view of a huge projection screen.Anyways, the second the horn sounded to end the game, the entire bar somehow broke out into a stirring rendition of "Oh Canada." It was pretty friggen cool. Can't wait til the gold medal game on Sunday!

mase_gotsem 0
Boyle's shift was maybe the manliest thing I have ever seen.i never followed him prior to this olympics but wow has he grown on me one of the hardest working players i have seen in awhile every shift he gives it his all reminds me of a ryan smyth with hands.missed half the third period "went out" but i found team canada to be quite sloppy today and if the play like they did today vs the states its going to be a sad ending imo
