And you'll be gay.

Those Dufour-Lapointe sisters are pretty sweet looking.   Plus that Indian guy on the Luge is a freak.

Not a fan of how quickly they decided on and set up for that double. Sure you can be results oriented now, but f*ck, you already blew one easy ass shot for the gold, why not take a second and go over your options here. The hit and stick on the shot rock would have probably been a much easier shot to execute.

That shot wasn't there. The higher rock, combined with that left centre guard cut off the path to that straight hit. If it was available, they would have called it.

I feel really bad for Benard though. ugh, she is going to need to see a shrink or something now.
look, I dont know the game at all, but I gotta imagine those arent THAT easy, are they?what I mean is, its hard for me call it a choke, when she got her team this far, with so many other clutch shots.I believe you had said it....sooner or later, their luck had to run bad. That was great to watch. This is becoming the most memorable Olympics I have ever watched, one dramatic thing after another. And now, hope that Slovakia doesnt pull off the major upset.prediction: Chara plays 58min.

I curl irregularly and I could have made the shot in the tenth for the win. That was a brutal fail. The strategy in the 10th and 11th were terrible. Pressure.
No offense, but I highly doubt you could easily make that double for the win. You have a very small window to hit that rock. Throwing a piece of granite down the ice and pinpoint hit it to make the double is not easy at all. There was nothing wrong with her strategy at all. She played both ends under the perfect strategy in the 10th and 11th, her lead and 2nd just let her down and missed their shots plain and simple. The third for Canada played horrible and put too much pressure on Benard, she was due to fail after all those pressure shots.

I didn't like the strategy in the 10th...I thought Canada had too many rocks in play.

She tried to force less rocks in the house, but nothing would roll out. Her team just didn't really help her. Then on Benard's first shot in the 10th end, she wanted to keep that one rock on the button, but knocked it out. I'm not a huge fan of Benard, other then this game, throughout the tournament she is one of the most boring teams to watch imo, because she plays so defensive. I was really hoping Jennifer Jones got thru, or maybe even Krista McCarville.

If you can come up with some kind of curling pool where we somehow pick players and score points COUNT ME IN!

I disagree. Canada's front wasn't great, but they were better than Sweden's. The shot in the 10th was very makeable, and one anyone on that level should make 90% of the time. In the 11th, a double with the stick was a tough shot, but she should have been looking for the double first, and sticking second. Again, a shot that anyone at that level makes 90% of the time.I couldn't have made those shots, but Bernard should almost always be making them both. She was playing for a gold medal and she choked.

Well then in her defense she was 90% tonight so I guess it all worked out the way you say it should.

Agreed. I agree that an Olympic curler should make that double in her sleep. I'm just saying that for your average joe smo, that is an extremely difficult shot. I agree though, if anything she should be hitting it on the outside of that rock to at worst blank the end, she has to know that the nose is a loss of the game.

Actually, if I'm reading the stats right, she curled 82% for the match. That's not really relevant though...Both skips missed a lot of shots. Canada's steals in the 6th and 7th were makeable shots for Sweden, though Canada set the ends up well.I thought Bernard called a fantastic game. Seems like she was significantly above the rest strategically, just like Martin seems to be.

If it wasnt for the names on the back of the jerseys, I would have a tough time figuring out who Canada's top lines are. The first 3 are pretty interchangeable, and even the 4th line seems as productive as anyone, when given ice team.
