ajs510 122
http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/display...display=regularDynamo Riga is a middle of the pack KHL team.Meh, once again it's two dozen guys who aren't NHL caliber against Ovechkin, Malkin, Kovalchuk, Semin, Datsyuk, Nabokov and company...I feel really good about my chances here. Piddle Duck 0
You're a ****in downer, man.Great point Zach. Really adds much to the discussion. To be honest it makes no sense. How am I being a downer? Are you somehow reading tone in my posts that aren't really there? A statement was made and I responded to it in my own personal opinion. I never said anyone else had to feel or think the same way. So when Washington and Pittsburgh are playing a regular season game on a Sunday...do you watch it? Even if there's a cross country ski race? I'm also interested in how you feel about golf? This is how it works, with me. Doesn't need to work with anyone else. It's just how I am. Do I need to apologize for my personal opinions? I sure hope not. Especially when it deals with this.Yesterday I was at home sick. Wish I still was. I watched the Olympic coverage on NBC all day. The highlight was watching the men's 10K cross country. I was looking forward to it after watching the Nordic Combined during the weekend. It was exciting to me. Hockey is also exciting to me, but Olympic hockey has never done much for me since like the 90's. Luckily there is no right or wrong in this equation regardless of what some of you seem to believe.I don't get to see XCountry skiing, or speed skating, or Nordic combined, or ski jumping, or biathlons EXCEPT during the Olympics. So yes, I would watch that rather than NHL players play hockey because at the end of the day, I will get to watch hundreds of hockey games each and every year. So if I have the choice between watching something I rarely ever get to see vs an NHL game, yes I will usually choose the former. I will never choose ice dancing over hockey though. Trust me. Not even Liz would watch ice dancing.Golf? I like to play it. Watch it? Meh. Doesn't do it for me and it is on every week and there is a channel devoted to it. So it would go like this. XCountry > NHL >Golf> Ice Dancing > Going to the dentist. Sorry I pissed so many people off. Didn't think it would be that big a deal.I will leave you to continue your betting discussions. Belanger25 3
Are all the players required to wear visors in Men's hockey? There is a cut off date, I think it's like 1974 or something. I know Chris Pronger is exempt and doesn't have to wear one.

He had 3-4 saves there that would have been goals against a lot of other guys.

bdc30 0
it's fun to watch the game without commentary and the game sounds on loud.reminds me of a couple years ago when the french cbc guys went on strike or something so they just said f*ck it and ran the games with no voice - it was awesome. I wish there was a way to select that...would be great with a nice surround system

Speed Limit 0
Pretty weird, I thought the Swiss came away from that game with a good showing, and I was pretty "eh" about the way U.S. played. Streit had a good game, same with Wick and Hiller. Hnat Domenichelli too, remember him!?Ryan Miller was completely untested, dude could have been having cups of earl grey tea all game and still making those stops he did. You get the crowd noise but no announcers.I've never actually tried it, so I don't know how well it works.
