KosinTrouble 0
Grats KJ, Good luck this weekend! Now its time for my brag session too!So its a sad for me. I knew it would end but DAMN! Last night was my first losing day of the month. :(But damn did I fight it, Now many will say this was just bad luck ect... but for me, it shows my confidence and my starting to understand situations better. First I lost an all in to a straight flush when I had nut flush, cant get angry from that. Then I lost a second nut flush to a straight flush again! So there goes my 2 buy ins (this was over a span of 4hr). I then lost two pair all in post flop to a back door flush. And my final big loss of the night, *sigh* yes ANOTHER nut flush loss to a straight flush! THREE!! THREE straight flushes in a night! And these were not 4 running clubs on the board either, these were double gappers or villiian held 64 type. But i kept my cool, kept to my game and in the end, I only lost $10.24. So needless to say even though there was some really bad luck, I think I fought through it and even though the day was a loss, I feel I really won the session!Kosin Trouble

KosinTrouble 0
So I have been really trying to concentrate on my reads the last couple days and doing a few things out of the box in hopes to change my image. I posted this in another forum and got some real interesting feedback but i am really interested in what the people here say.Ok So this villian in middle position is 8/5 over 65 hands(small sample). He has a fold CB to raise 100%(3times). I know he is pretty tight and his faily polarized range. Now his raise is 3bb so to .30. I am already in for .10 so its only .20 to call. Still not great at the whole odds scenario so please give numbers. My chances of hitting set is 1 in 7 so that means I need pot odds of what? So my question is, is it worth calling that to set mine and if I do and a dry flop comes should I 3bet him? I think he is very much fit or fold. Because to folds to raised 3bet, and he folds to donk bets I kinda thought it was worth it. So my other question is, if you are playing a fit or fold person who will fold if they miss the flop (as long as they dont have a big pocket pair) is it worth the risk? Lets say his range is AJ+, JJ+, obviously he will call with jj+, but fold all combo's of AJ+. because there are more combo's of AJ offsuit or suited, he would have to fold about 65% of the time for me to call, c/r flop to steal. Is that correct? Sorry I just dont know the math... So my thought was I 3bet his cbet, he 4bets I fold. If he calls then obviously I have to put him on a larger pocket pair and if I dont improve the turn then I c/f. Here is a hand and I am curious on what people think... CobaltBlue 662
KT, the 66 is a call pre...don't consider 3-betting it much. On the flop, I'm not sure about your goal with the c/r. Like, are you value-betting or bluffing?

Like, are you value-betting or bluffing?I think I would consider my 3bet a semi bluff... I know I am ahead of all his AJ+ range, and the only thing that he would call or reraise me with are his JJ/QQ/KK/AA in which case I would fold. *SIDE NOTE* I AM IN HELL! I have 7 9yr old girls giggling and laughing have a "Spa Birthday Party"... Needless to say, probably wont be much poker grinding for me tonight.Kosin Trouble
babylondonks 5
So you're basically raising 66 there to see where you're at, which we really don't want to do. I mean you may as well be raising a napkin and a uno card there because you're not continuing at all if he calls. We're folding out all hands we beat and getting called by hands we lose to, much better to check/call and keep his bluffs in.

The more I think on it, and read into it, you first sentance sums it all up... Wether i intended it or not, I ended up raising to see where i was at. i just "justified it" in my mind by using the stats and thinking I can do something fancy... Ohh well, I am sure the player has a huge FISH symbol in my notes section.Kosin Trouble

trystero 0
I've always withdrawn using checks, and I've never had any problems. The checks come in a timely fashion (within the week) without any "suspicious" information. With that said, you should be careful and to be on the safe side open a separate bank account for your poker money. The reason is because if your bank does question your transaction, then they can write you a check and send you on your way, closing your account(s). Tremendous inconvenience if you have actual bank accounts.edit: disregard above that concerns UIGEA; you're from Canada.
