Lead singer is decent on the keys. Blow up the pokies ( "pokies" is an australian term for slot machine) Thank you (for loving me at my worse)

CorvairShaggy 5
I'm 3betting pre-flop a lot vs the min-open bc the range he's going to open there is really wide, so there is a ton of valueI think the flop is fine. c.r on the flop can be cool bc he does have that wide range and most villains will c-bet this texture with a high frequency. The turn c.r is good imo. I agree he is more likely to be weak with the small sizing- I might make it bigger as he under bet, so 4x or so might be better than 2.6x.The river is a pretty clear bet/fold at the micros. He will crying call all his worse straights, sets and two-pairs. I wouldn't be surprised to see a crying call from AK either.Sizing: I'd go with $3-$3.50I will feel really good about folding to a jam as it will be a flush close to 100% of the time. Most important part. I've always known that bet/folding the river with non nut value hands at the micros was a good thing, but it really couldn't be more true on Merge. People just play so nitty on the river that unless you have a read that he bluff raises, chances are, it's not a bluff. Here is how I played it out:River: ($3.90, 2 players) K:club: Hero bets $3.00, BTN raises to $9.20, Hero calls $6.19 and is all-inBTN shows Q:spade: K:diamond: (Two Pair, Kings and Queens) (Pre 40%, Flop 64%, Turn 77%)Hero shows A:spade: J:diamond: (Straight, Ace High) (Pre 60%, Flop 36%, Turn 23%)Hero wins $21.17I decided to take the lead here, and he tanked forever and made the shove with 2 seconds left on the clock. I had been at the table for about 15 mins. or so, and he had never tanked like that before, so I assumed he was not busy multi-tabling and did not have time. I tanked for a few myself. I agree with Superjon in that I have noticed that guys on Merge will shove if they have the nuts, even if the pot is only .30. I thought maybe by him almost timing out he was playing games, but he did tank for a small time on the turn, and he was playing "legit" poker and not playing games, so I did not take this as a ruse. If he would have insta-shoved I probably would have laid it down, as I kinda leaned that way anyway, but made the call after I went back over eveything. Worked out this time. Just making sure my thinking was on track here. Thanks!!

SuperJon 175
Pretty big (for me) pool tournament tomorrow. $30 entry, no handicaps, 8/9 ball format. Which if I'm not mistaken means whoever wins the coin flip gets to pick the game, but it could be something different.

Nashtak 0
Oh haaaiiii.Long time no see.I totally remember someone putting up a link, in this thread, to a book about active learning. I thought it was really interesting and i'd like to order it but since it was anywhere between the 175th and 325th page, i wonder if anyone remembers the name of the book. The person who posted about it also posted a page from it, talking about the author who won a ''text remembering contest'' a year after witnessing it for the first time. Also a man who has never played golf, attempting to make it into a PGA tournament by playing 6 days a week for 6 years.kthx.
