meservery 0
I think betting the turn probably would have been a better play but I'm not sure about bet size as I have a pot size bet left. Should I shove the turn or should I bet something small? SB was a monkey (47/32) and we tangled in a few pots which I think I won every single one and I think he was starting to tilt/hate me Milked from the teat of a feral cowHEM/Poker Stars NL Hold'em $0.25/$0.50 ante $0.10 - 8 playersMP: $138.25 HJ: $134.90 CO: $119.20 Button: $142.70 (Hero)SB: $176.20 BB: $123.45 UTG: $90.25 UTG+1: $56.05 Preflop: ($1.55) Hero is Button with (8 players)5 folds, Hero raises to $2.00, SB raises to $6.80, BB folds, Hero raises to $22.65, SB calls $15.85Flop: ($46.60) (2 players)SB checks, Hero bets $27.00, SB calls $27.00Turn: ($100.60) (2 players)SB checks, Hero checksRiver: ($100.60) (2 players)SB bets $100.00, Hero calls $92.95 SB showed 6d Jd, Hero showed Ah Ac, Hero won $283.50 Concerning the flop bet, just curious why we are only betting 60% of the pot. droberts 3
Concerning the flop bet, why are we only betting 58% of the pot?in a 4bet pot pre, i dont think its necessary to bet a ton with the toppest of overpairs.it also lets him call with something like 88-TT thinking we are cbetting AK.in general i cbet slightly over half pot when i 3bet or 4bet preflop, it lets us merge our bluff hands with our value hands well.i think if he was to bet huge, pot, or something similar, if villain was any competent he was see this as very strong and likely fold QQ if he somehow didnt 5bet jam pre.thats just my thoughts.EDIT: after looking at the stack sizes, it would be horrendous for him to 5bet jam QQ pre. i think he can flat that hand pre being about 300bbs deep. SuperJon 175
Two interesting live hands from yesterdayA couple people limp, I limp Ac8c. Flop is 6c7h2s. I bet $7 when it gets checked to me. Guy on the button makes it $20. I had a read on him that he liked to raise people's flop bets a lot, and I even saw him do this with just TP before.I decide that since he seemed like a competent player and we were fairly deep, that I would 3bet bluff him with a little bit of equity (two overs and bdfd). I make it $50 straight. He tank calls. Turn is a 8d. I bet $54 and he folds.2nd hand in a 3way limped pot, I have 55. Flop is Ah2c5d. Two players check to me, and I bet $7.Turn is an A. Both check to me again, and I bet $25, and I get one caller.River is the last A (weeee). The heavy set middle aged woman makes a quick bet of $60. I insta muck face up, and she shows A8o, ofc. She then goes on to luckbox her way to being up $300, plus another $100 for winning the high hand with quad aces. Obviously she goes broke in a matter of hours, but sadly not to me : (
