(Also a little sad that my v-bet/call with 4th pair didn't get much love.)If he can turn up with J3o then I like the play. Without reads (like him playing j3o) I think he would have too many better value hands that he is turning into a bluff for us to call. Nice hand though.

Without reads (like him playing j3o) I think he would have too many better value hands that he is turning into a bluff for us to call.It was partially a sizing thing too. Like, his raise is so large that it somewhat polarizes him. I think he probably just calls with a bare ace or king. He probably would've raised a set or two pair on the flop or turn. That means his value range is basically QJ/TT/AT. Kind of felt like he was defending almost ATC to the 3bet. And obviously my line looks fairly "weak", so I expected he thought he could raise me off of quite a number of better hands. I wasn't sure if he'd turn a ten into bluff...I'd expect he'd generally call with it.
SuperJon 175
I donked to get value from the fish that limped. He'll probably call with weaker 8x, some 7x, oesd, and gutshots. Once the reg on the button calls, I figure he's either got Qx, 9T (maybe 56), and 99-JJ.You guys think it's profitable to barrel once to get him to fold 99-JJ?Merge - $0.10 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 playersHand converted by PokerTracker 3: http://www.pokertracker.comBB: $14.67UTG: $6.08MP: $12.44CO: $13.91BTN: $10.40Hero (SB): $10.00Hero posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero has :adUTG calls $0.10, fold, fold, BTN raises to $0.45, Hero calls $0.40, fold, UTG calls $0.35Flop: ($1.45, 3 players) :7dHero bets $0.96, fold, BTN calls $0.96Turn: ($3.37, 2 players) :2cHero bets $2.

KingJames 11
J9ss hand I c-bet much smaller bc of stack depth. Turn I'd barrel. As played I'd fold. But I think if we bet like $1.1 on the flop and barrel $2.25 on turn we'll be in a much better spot; thoughts?A8dd, I'd fold pre. As played I don't mind the turn bet; devious intentions on a lot of rivers??

KingJames 11
Well this is fun bc I made a royal flush, but I have questions on all 3 streets. Villain is 25/20/2.69 6% 3b, plays super loose out of the SB, 58% vpip out of the blinds.Should I raise the flop donk? His super wide pre-flop range makes me believe he can have some worse flush draws.Turn... ohider. Checking back cool or should we bomb it to set up a big bet vs his under flushes and AX hands?River... SuperJon 175
Flop: I like calling. Yeah, he can have some weaker FD's, but is he calling with them on a paired board oop (maybe?). Plus we might have the best hand here some of the time, and even counterfeit outs with a T if he's donking a small pair. Turn: Betting is good if you think he'll call with hands like QT, QJ, and KJ. River: I think we lose value if we shove (unless you know him to be a huge station). The only hands that will call a shove are FH's, and based on his bet sizing, I'd be surprised if he ever has one here. So I like raising to $3.50 like you said, or maybe even a little smaller to target the weaker end of his range. The blocker bet seems like he's looking for thin value with a hand like KJ. What sort of hands do you think he would bet/call to a smaller raise and do you think he has more of those hands than he does ones he will call off vs a shipski?
SuperJon 175
I see what you're saying, but I think a smaller raise just has a better chance of getting called. The reason being is that it gives him a chance to level himself into making a bad call based on "pot odds", and allows him to spazz as well.

SuperJon 175
Lame.So what do you think of this Br management plan on moving up? I'm playing 3 tables these days, and I was thinking taking shots at the next level at 15 BI's, and starting with 1 table and then 2 tables of my current limit, and then changing a table at 20 bi's and 25 bi's.
KingJames 11
I think that's a really good plan. Are you getting close to taking 25nl shots?
