And surprisingly, have 55% equity vs a tp hand and worse drawI think the over-all equity goes down a bit when our draw is dominated, but I'm sure vs these villains (awful) and stack sizes it's a profitable bet/call$0.10/$0.20 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 4 PlayersPoker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. I remember when this thread was all about how bad KJ was at 3betting

He's probably not flatting KJ's raise otf if he had a2. Besides, A2 is such a small portion of his range here, we are never ever ever ever ever ever ever folding the turn. People are stupid, they do

KJ, Your HH says .10/.20 where are you playing .10/.20? Just curious...Also thanks for the advice, 4NL is super fishy with nice donks who love to bluff badly so great fun so far. Biggest adjustment I've had to make is kind of like what Cobalt was saying, they donk and just don't fold or the check and don't fold. I've had to cut back my c-betting the flop quite a bit and/or also fire a 2nd barrel on the turn if I see them float flop and fold turn a lot.

Yeah, I think that's the hardest part about nano-stakes nl. Obv when we have a hand we can bet 60%-100% of the pot, or even over-bet and get valueWith non value hands, it becomes a lot less clear. Obv, opponent dependent. I think the biggest thing is that most villains (the huge fish that we're talking about here) will c.c oop with A-high, any draw, any pair, etc, so there are a lot of great double barrel spots. I know I used to miss those alot. It's also a double edged sword bc if they call with a gutter and turn 3rd pair, they will often call the turn, and maybe the river as well.So thinly value betting the turn/river is huge. And remember that sometimes the best way to thinly value bet the river is nice small bets; I had a huge block in my thinking back in the day that I had to hit 1/2 pot and then slide the amount up... lol me

+1targeting a range with your bet sizing is huge.i've improved in this area, but it still takes an effort to remember to do it.

Yeah, but when you gaybet... does that **** up your thought process when you get a CRAI?

I was playing a session today and got to value-bet two streets with an underpair.(Playing HU...3xed Button w/ 22, opponent called. Flop QQ3r, he c/c. Turn 6, he c/c. River 7. Check, check. I win versus AJ.)

If any of you are interested Jason Somerville is doing some cash game videos and putting them on YouTube. He realized he had $400 on Cake and he's trying to run it up and doing these videos. I love how Jason breaks down a hand and his thought process. Check it out if you're interested: http://www.youtube.com/user/JCarverPoker#p/uGreat advice ITT.

Shouldn't.
Meh. I guess I should clarify. It doesn't mess up your thinking...it just can sometimes cause you to level yourself a bit. In the hand that I posted, I was betting small to hopefully induce him to do something dumb.

The same logic and reaction that would make him try and push you off a weak hand, will also allow him to value bshove more effectively with medium strength hands. This is just one of those time where he has the medium strength hand instead of the air ball.

Yeah, I was just responding to NA as he was responding to my idea of adding more small bets into my play. And at SSNL and Micro-NL I think it shouldn't even mess with our head when we get CRAI when we go for thin value; it's almost never going to be a bluff at 50nl and lower, imo. I'm definitely going to try to throw some small bets out on the river with the nizzle in the next few weeks and see if anyone is jamming with busted draws or turing pairs into bluffs etc. Sample will still be small but I doubt it is going to happen. And I of course recognize that your play at MSNL will be different. And yeah, fighter is right, too.

You're expecting to have the nuts going to the river? mbn.Just keep in mind throwing out bets like that is entirely player dependent.
Yeah, I make the nuts a lot. It's actually very nice.

Today was pretty lame; lost like 2.5bi over 800 hands. zzzzzzzzBiggest pot was calling off 225bbs with QQ vs a 84/22/8AF 21% 3b who just slammed it in over a 3x open. He had KK :(Got a littel too passive in a few spots vs some really huge fish that were really aggro... would call flops and folded too many turns to pot sized bets with like 2nd pair thinking I'd have to make tough decisions on the riverWish I would have just had the nuts... then I'd call and crai rivers... much easier than making decisions with 2nd pair... should prob just call down the first time and then adjust strat/rangesoh wellback at it tomorrow

Stars is making changes to rake on 1st Feb plus adding 6NL and 16NL, I can see adding 16NL but 6NL seems dumb if you keep 5NL as well.
