New Challenge: Movin' On Up

Recommended Posts

This is a hand from my last trip to blackhawk that I've found myself rethinking. 1/2 nl (sorta...)3-4 limps to me, I make it 12 OTB with AJo. get 3 callers. Flop J73r. Checked to me I bet 40. Only callers is a guy in seat 10 who is in MP. Seat 10 is pretty new to the table, maybe one orbit at this time. I probably could bet something closer to 30 here, no? With it being such a dry board.Turn is a 6 completing the rainbow, and villain just leads for 80 leaving himself 70-75 behind. With virtually no reads what do we do?

I remember when this thread was all about how bad KJ was at 3betting

He's probably not flatting KJ's raise otf if he had a2. Besides, A2 is such a small portion of his range here, we are never ever ever ever ever ever ever folding the turn. People are stupid, they do

I'm actually gonna try to play some MTTs this weekend, so I'll try to watch your video as well.I think that's my biggest problem as well (too nitty). Sometimes though, I'm just a spewtard. I need to find a good balance. I also plan on recording a laggy 6max vid sometime soon.

I'm still enjoying this live broadcast but it got worse for sure when Hellmuth came aboard. Stories about himself. Lon had to interrupt him when he began to talk about some tournament he lost with like a 10-1 chip advantage. The hand analysis is now bottom of the barrel.Cunningham raises otb, bb calls. Flop is like 225, goes standard action of check / bet / callTurn a 7, check and Cunningham bets $100k into like $180kHellmuth's analysis: "The fact that the BB called the flop is significant here".I'm thinking the obvious, that Cunningham's button range is like half the hands and this guy is going to check/call the flop with almost anything that has SD value. It's hardly significant; it means little. The BB folds K9o and Hellmuth exclaims, "Oh! He had the right idea," like it's shocking that this guy called so lightly. Then he concludes, "But he has to raise the flop."Antonio's been my favorite, and Busquet's also been very good. Now he's rambling about Allen finding out during the dinner break that one of his opponents turned a hand into a bluff against him, and now Allen "will know" about his gameplay so much that it may cause him to win a huge pot against him in the next level.
