I'll tell you.... when i played live poker fulltime, I ended up getting the worst lower back pain constantly.sometimes it would be shooting pain that felt llike a knife going into my back!i'm in shape too, annd eat healthy, but sitting and slouching, ie: looking at cards and playing with your chips is THE worst thing for you

When I play live, (Or at home, for that matter.) I get up and do some quick stretches every couple of laps to try to keep the blood flowing.A good time to do it is when they switch dealers, too---every 30 mins at my B&M.If they have cushions in your casino, by all means use them.At home it's easier: You can still play while standing up, can't you?Unless you got like 25 tables going....Try to sit up straight: I know, nearly impossible for everyone, but try.Take your wallet out of your back pocket (Your sciatic nerve in your lower back will thank you.)Playing with your chips: Can't help there, it's a habit we all have isn't it?If all else fails, two words:SWEDISH MESSAGE! :club:

I'm hoping this is a 'not speaking in her native tongue' issue, but how does a spokesperson for a school for health actually manage to make comments about "After four hours of sitting, the body starts to send harmful signals," Ekblom-Bak said. She explained that genes regulating the amount of glucose and fat in the body start to shut down." ?How exactly does one's genetic composition CHANGE after you sit for a few hours ? I believe that your metabolism shifts and slows down after hours of sitting, but she wants me to believe that my genes actually shut down ? Huh ?

I also heard the chance of stabbing yourself in the ankle is significantly lower if you're standing.
That depends mostly on how tall you are.
