I'm pretty sure it is the same at Bay 101 and Garden City, I don't know what the OP is talking about. This is unless they changed the drop within the last week.

Its actually $4 where I play...I just wanted to say standard.
What is a drop? Is that the rake? At the casino where I play, they have the following set up:1-1: 10% rake, capped at 51-2: 5% rake, capped at 151-3: Charge of 6 / 30 mins (4bb/hour)2-5: Charge of 7 / 30 mins (2.8bb/hour)5-10: Charge of 7.50 / 30 mins (1.5 bb/hour)10-25: Charge of 10 / 30 mins (0.8bb/hour)25-50: Charge of 25 / hour (0.5bb/hour)50-100: Charge of 30 / hour (0.3bb/hour)I find this pretty interesting, because if you consider 60 hands / hour and a winrate of 5bb/100 hands, it doesn't make sense to play 1-3 and 2-5 there.

yes drop=rake. Some people call it drop because they drop the chips into the box that seat 9 always rams their knees into. And if anyone wants to complain about the rake, play poker on a cruise ship lol.

1-2 game has a cap of 15? that is a ridiculous amount of rake, amiright?

In theory yes, but in practise this will very rarely be reached, since the stacks aren't all that deep. Typically the recreational players buy in with 40-60bb. To me, the percentage is more of an issue, so I don't bother signing up for the 1-1 game with 10% rake. The 1-2 with 5% is actually decent.

That is the worst rake I have ever heard (outside of charity tournaments where the rake is >50%)
