Don't know if Daniel reads this, but I wanted to thank him for taking the time to take a picture with me on Tuesday night at the Aria. It was one of the highlights of my trip. - other highlights include placing 3rd in a "real casino tourney" and finishing up $100 in my first $1/2 cash game. I'd also like to thank the player playing against him that let him know I was standing out there waiting for Daniel to finish up, though I never got his name. He looked familiar. Asian guy, wearing sunglasses (maybe that's why I couldn't recognize him.) I wouldn't have gotten into playing poker if it wasn't for seeing Daniel being a genuinely nice guy - my image of poker players up until a little while ago was a little bit more "Hellmuthian." I'm glad that sometimes, nice guys finish first. Presumably, in the WSOP main event this year...I even try to play a little bit like him. At the Luxor tournament, I checked and a LAG (but good) player raised me a good chunk of the pot on the flop, I called, which I don't think he was expecting, because I had a pair of queens with a K kicker, as well as an OESD 10-K. Turn was a blank, I checked to him, he checked, possibly worried about what I have, or maybe he was flat-out bluffing. The river card, the ace of diamonds, makes my straight, BUT it also put three diamonds on the board. I donk-bet about 90% of the pot, turning my made-straight into a "representing flush" bluff. The guy then tries to soul-read me - staring intently right at me. In return, I try to stare right back, showing confidence, representing a lack of confidence. The table is silent, the dealer is silent, and you could cut the tension with a knife. The worst case scenario is that he re-raises all-in. Can I call with a straight with a 3-flush on the board? Would he make the all-in bet if he didn't have the flush? There's four to a straight, and I've been playing tight - kings are in my range... Then again, if I was bluffing at the pot, I'd probably bet around the same amount... I wanted him to call, but I would gladly take a fold if So I asked myself: What would Daniel Negreanu do? I started making funny faces at him. The table cracked up, and the tension broken, he decided to fold soon after, with "Okay, kid, I think you've got it." Don't know what he had - might have been bluffing the whole way and didn't want to reveal he was bluffing. Maybe he had a low-flush, and I stole the pot, or he had another king, and won a pot I would have had to chop. Point is, I was happy with the outcome.

Daniel is a sweetie that is for sure, met him a few times and he is open to picture taking. At the PCA he pulled out and handed me $20 for my bad beat story on the hand the killed me in my event lol, also teased me for drinking mojoto's the night before my event. Not going to say what he said at the night of the PokerStars party when I was dirty dancing lol.

I haven't received anything yet I assume my chip set was sent out also???? :club:
You were on the list that was sent to Matt and he told me that everything was now sent out. I don't know if he sent it all out on the same day though and things might be a little slower getting to where you are in a more rural area in Canada since they are sent from the US.If you haven't received it by Tuesday please send me a PM.
