I did run it through SNGEGT and it came out as a very marginal push, assuming a tight calling range for all opponents. How about this: you fold the QT, nothing significant happens, and the next hand you're dealt A7o in UTG. Shove?

Hero in EP and 3/5. If I'm 5/5 maybe I'm shipping here but 3/5 we have better spots to find.
Does the fact that I'd side more towards ship than fold mean I need to get in some extra study on Pokerstove?

Not neccessarily. It's very close and I';d err on the side of shoving. I do tend to err on the side of shoving a little more than I should though.Extra study on Pokerstove is never a bad idea though. These things come kind of intuitively after a while and you'll probably know when you've reached that stage.

A7o is a shove.

No it means you're on the other side of a very thin fence. :club:

Pokerstove wont calculate ICM though. It's better to run it through sng power tools so you can calculate $EV rather than cEV. Some situations would be +cEV and -$EV. This may be one of them. I will run some numbers in a bit. Edit - Stove is good though to know where you stand from a range standpoint. I think it's important that you have a good understanding of the difference though.

I envy you because I don't have Windows.I used to run SNGWizard in VirtualBox but I'm lazy.

Hand 1, I probably pass seeing as it's still fairly early. I iso with AK TT+. I'd be tempted though because of your stack size.Hand 2, I'm shipping.
What I did, **** results!

Hand 1: Easy shoveHand 2: Eh, I probably fold and hope to get an opportunity to open-shove (or a hand with more showdown value to call) in the next few hands. But since UTG could be shoving a very wide range here your Q could even put you slightly ahead (if he's shoving hands like JT, J9, T9, etc). You're getting the odds to call against a big chunk of his range since both your cards will likely be live.

2.5bb raise with this. Call any re-shove unless its from Seat 8, unless he's a really clever and tricky player with balls, he won't re-shove on you with nothing.Edit: Oops thought blinds were 200/400. I shove this.

Villains range is so ridiculously wide I think Q high might be good here. With the blinds having just passed you will no doubt pick up a better spot to shove in the next few hands. You are getting good odds here tho.

You want me to convert a non full HH? WP sir. It's standard to not convert if you don't want rest of hand showing at all.You also didn't answer anything at all about the hand that is relevant.I've posted in here a couple times now that they are 45 man SNGs on Stars, so it's fairly straightforward - regardless, where we are at isn't even important here. It's a call/fold situation, not a "why is he shoving" situation. It's obvious why he's shoving he's trying to abuse the table. Please keep it relevant.

HH's can be edited to not show results. Granted this one wasn't that involved, but it should be done by all, unless you are currently in a tourney.I don't care if you have posted that you usually play the 45 man SNG's-not everyone is as into you as you are.I fold and wait for a better spot, if it is still early, if it is late I prob. call. If you don't want people to question what you are doing, make it more clear.There.

Please go somewhere else if you're going to not read the thread, post irrelevant content, and then post with an inflammatory attitude like this. The group was not having a problem with unconverted preflop HHs, everyone isn't going to change what was working to accommodate you. The question at hand is perfectly clear. With that said I'm through with the matter, and moving on to strat again.

Fine, fine.Do you shove this?PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, 3.4 Tournament, 200/400 Blinds 25 Ante (5 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comBB (t2425)UTG (t3920)Hero (MP) (t2880)Button (t3655)SB (t2120)Hero's M: 3.97Preflop: Hero is MP with 10club.gif, Qdiamond.gif1 fold, Hero???
So back to this one, it's a shove based on ICM, assuming calling ranges are in the neighborhood of 5,9,15% for the remaining players. If you put the BB on a wide range, it becomes a less profitable shove, almost to the point where it's not worth it.

It's a pretty wide call, but not many BB deep, so I have no real opinion on it. Not bad either way, but I would probably fold.As for HU, no I do not shove my entire range....unless I have to. It really depends on what your opponent lets you do. Once the HU starts, I'll always fold bad hands. If my opponent then keeps giving me the pile, then you are left with no choice. I'm definitely shoving a very wide range though.
