haasx109 0
My pokertracker stats say that I attempt to steal blinds 10% of the time. What is everyone else here at?I have a feeling that mine is a bit low, but you obviously can't attempt to steal them every time. Stealing blinds at appropriate times and grinding it out can obviously up your profit significantly after a while, but I suppose the question is; How much is to much? babylondonks 5
You basically can't steal too much, 10% is horrendously low. Mine is about 42%

Royal_Tour 0
Full Ringfor full ring, i wouldnt even concern myself with such stats. it could be 1% and still be crushing the games.play your games based on your image, and your table selection. Trying to adjust your PT stats to fit your game is a huge mistake.
babylondonks 5
Most FR regs play like 14/11 with a steal% through the roof
Sick Boy 0
basically just make up your mind of what you're gonna do once you've got a feel for the game. If you get the vibe the players will let you steal more, then do so, if you get the feeling you're playing against defenders then steal less. Its all relative to the game you are playing. rrumsey 0
depends on villain in the blinds and image but opening a lot pre as long as they aren't stations is usually good. don't get to careless but do it a decent amount from the button and SB

That's just how most winning FR regs play online. They play ridic nitty early and then super duper light late, probably lighter than most of us open CO and button in 6max. They literally play like 14/11 with a 58% steal. The way to combat that pretty easily is to 3b the shit out of LP opening regs because they aren't used to preflop 3betting and don't accurately assign ranges. But yeah, OP 10% steal is LOL. You should be over 10% with your opening hands from any position almost, 10% is like 22-AA, AQ+, QK+.You should be opening 22-AA, A9+, Axss+, Kxss+, Q8ss+, J7ss+, T6ss+, 96ss+, 85ss+, 74ss+, 63ss+ 54ss, 43ss. Then like almost all of those hands unsuited too. Poker stove that and you'll have like 70% of hands, cut out most of Kx to like K9+, then like the bottom 2 cards in the other categories and you'll get to like 50% which would be a good range. So like cut out Q8, Q9, but open QT+ (I'd probably still open Q8 and Q9, but stove all those hands and you'll be somewhere pretty wide open with hands that have enough value to play in position. But, honestly, if you are only opening up 10% of hands in position, you probably need to learn a lot about fundamental play and using position to pot control, when to cbet and when not to, etc. more than you need to learn how to open up your stealing range. Firzen 0
If you have a 50/X guy left of you then you can't really steal, you need to have a hand. If you got tight shortstacks or fullstack regs on your left then it's quite easy to steal with anything. Minraising shortstacks is the easiest way. They almost never play back and when they have a hand they push preflop and by minraising you wont lose much.

I doubt many people in cash games fold to min bets at all, i have never tried it so i wouldn't know, but i fold almost nothing to a min bet preflop. Get some fold equity when you try to steal, or less you just end up spewying money postflop because villains call range is so wide and now we end up playing lots of weakish hand OOP. Just get the fold equity now and save yourself from lots of thin postflop spots

Royal_Tour 0
Yes14% is not nitty, it's weekend at Berny's (meaning their practically dead at the table). I can't really debate this much because i dont play online as much as you two, but thats so incredibly tag i have trouble believing its true., not to mention the fact that you're steal attempts arent going to always work even with that image.
