Full schedule: http://www.wsop.com/tourney/tourneydetails.asp?groupID=764$25K 6-Handed No-Limit – A new event this year will be a $25,000 buy-in 6-handed No-Limit Hold’em 4-day event. Event #52 begins on Wednesday, June 30 at 12 noon.$50K Players Championship – The Chip Reese Trophy is up for grabs at the $50,000 buy-in eight-game mixed event, dubbed the Players Championship, which is being morphed from the $50K H.O.R.S.E. tournament run the past four years. This new eight-game format will serve as the true test of the game’s greatest all-around player and receive star treatment, with ESPN cameras covering the five-day event for television. Event #2 starts on Friday, May 28 at 5:00 PM.It looks like the final table for the 50K will be 8 game, not NL holdem. I would be suprised if ESPN still ends up airing it if they have to show the mixed games at the FT.I think the 25K 6 handed NL is a good idea, especially since the 5K 6 handed NL has been so popular the past few years.

FT for the $50k 8game will be NLHE
The two statements shouldn't be referring to the same tournament.

i'm willing to make a pretty large bet that there isn't one true amateur at that FT. also, i'll be winning a bracelet the week of June 14th.

I still the same problems with their schedule as when it got leaked before. All Omaha events are FR with no 6max, PLH tourneys are useless, they are basically the same as NL tourneys except the fields are way smaller and tougher and they still need to change the events for June 4th and June 17th. On the 4th there is a $1500 NL and a $1500 LHE which would do better apart given that they would have a lot of people that would want to play both and on the 17th they have the 5k NL 6m and a $2500 PLO/PLH events which will also have a lot of people that will want to play both.Nice to see to see the 50k HORSE switched to 8-game. Enforces the fields ability to play every game even more and will be a more natural fit to have the FT switch to NL too. Also will probably have a bigger field with more big bet specialists playing. I wonder if it would be better if it was just all the other games besides NL up until the FT then NL at the FT as opposed to having NL being that much more important than the other games.

The 25k event looks great. Structure is good. timing at the end of the series is great.$50k going to 8-game is a great idea as well. With the ft being nl and it being a tv event again more weak mixed gamed players will play as well. The structures of the other nl events are almost the same as last yr except some random small ante levels.http://www.wsop.com/pdfs/2010/10829-structure.pdfWSOP Main Eventhttp://www.wsop.com/pdfs/2010/10878-structure.pdfStructure is great as it was last yr.Big change this yr. is 4 levels per day on Days 1-5 not 5 levels like in years past.Harrahs did this because the longer the players are in the tourney the longer they can stay on site at the Rio and spend money there. The money will be on late Day 4 instead of early Day 4.Days 1A & 1C and Days 1B & 1D will be combined together instead of 1a 1b and 1c 1d so the day 2s will be more even field sizesGeneral Rules• Play will begin on days 1A, 1B, 1C, and 1D at 12 pm.• All Levels will last 120 minutes.• Players may select their first day of play until that day based upon availability.• Play will continue on days 1A, 1B, 1C, and 1D until the completion of level 4.• Dinner break on Days 1-5 will be after 2 levels of play each day and last 90 minutes.• Dinner break on Days 6-8 will be after 3 levels of play each day and last 90 minutes.• Day 2A – Remaining players from Days 1A & 1C will be combined together and resume play at12 PM, on Friday, July 9, 2010, and play 4 levels.• Day 2B – Remaining players from Days 1B & 1D will be combined together and resume play at12 PM, on Saturday, July 10, 2010, and play 4 levels.• Players will have an off day on Sunday, July 11, 2010.• Day 3 – Remaining players from Days 2A & 2B will be combined together and resume play at12 PM, on Monday, July 12, 2010 and play 4 levels.• Day 4 - play will continue at 12 PM, on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, and play 4 levels.• Day 5 - play will continue at 12 PM, on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, and play 4 levels.• Day 6 - play will continue at 12 PM, on Thursday, July 15, 2010, and play 5 levels.• Day 7 - play will continue at 12 PM, on Friday, July 16, 2010 and play down to 27 players.• Day 8 - play will continue at 12 PM, on Saturday, July 17, 2010 and play down to 9 players.• The Final Table will resume play on November 6-9, 2010.• Adjustments may be made to the number of levels played each day.Players begin with 30,000 in Tournament Chips. With all the footage they are going to get, they could easily cut the 8 game to show 3 (both the mundane and the exciting) NL Hold'em hands and 1 key hand from the limit games. That way, it'd be interesting for poker newbies, who see a lot of familiar hold'em stuff, but get introduced to the other games as well.

Not strictly related to the schedule but it would be cool if ESPN would film different forms of poker. Its so rare to see anything but Hold 'em on the tv and it was fun when they showed stud and omaha a few years back.

They have before, and aired a lot of event sif not all, but I suppose the ratings weren't there from a Stud Hi/Lo table filled with people you've never heard ofSomeone spot make 1500 for the Omaha8 events?

I was going to counter with "opposed to a holdem final table filled with people you have never heard of?", however on reflection Holdem is still king when it comes to TV poker.

I'm a fan of seeing multiple games too, but ESPN used to actually switch the cards around to show what hand the player had, years back. I guess it made it easier for someone new to understand what they had, but for the purposes of following how the hand was played made it a horrible idea. A player being dealt [A][3]3 4 9 A [9] would actually show up as [A] A 9 [9] [3] 3 4 on the show.I think they could start getting more people to watch different games if they started just with omaha. It's close enough to hold'em that someone who only knows hold'em could get into it. Stud could come into play later once omaha was accepted by audiences.Showing an 8-game final table may just be to much for a casual fan, and showing a majority of hold'em could make it confusing if the stacks changed a lot during the other games. I think Daniel said it best when he made his argument for hold'em final table for the 50k HORSE.

I will be looking to get out there for at least an event or two this year. I know some people dont like all the 1k events.....but now I can budget for two events probably. Weeeee.

With the decline of dealers I was thinking of trying to work out there this year and play in some Ceasars tourneys or V Deep Stack. But from the stories I've heard about scheduleing and the declining payrate I am still on the fence.
