It will blow over, just like it did for Kobe. There will be an initial backlash, but I think he has such a huge impact on the sport that people will try whatever they can do to make people like him.As for the endorsements, can Nike afford to do anything? He is Nike Golf. He is to golf what Michal Jordan was/is to basketball. He's their face and nobody can replace that imo.

i think he is safe for now..But if it comes out that he has done coke or anything like that then there could be a fall out.

And before we get carried away, Jewasaurus Rex, I didn't mean to imply that people don't care about the cheating scandal, the car crash, the divorce and so on. If anything, I think people care much more about that junk than they do where his playing career goes from here.

You're concerned about where Tiger Woods' career goes from here? Are you anything more than vaguely interested in it?

His career moving forward, the divorce proceedings, and any ongoing scandals are all included in his future, which is what the poll was about. But yes, I would still have a genuine interest in just his golf career...though no more than if he was still just a bland married dude. I enjoy watching once-in-a-generation athletes in almost any sport.

I doubt speedz is. he's probably just representing the public at large
..and it's my contention that the public at large really doesn't care, or they might watch more golf. The most watched golf program(sunday of the British open 2 years ago) in recent history was watched by roughly half the number of people that watched the Texas-Texas Tech game last year.

Hasn't all of his endorsers confirmed that they have no intention of dropping him? I thought I read that Nike, Buick, Gillette all plan on keeping him
Yes true, but things can get worse..If other stuff comes out that is damaging.

I thought Tiger was done with Buick after this year

I agree that it will blow over... it might take awhile, especially if there is a divorce. I don't think people will forget about it, but he will still be idolized when his career is over and done with. Just a bump in the road.

Gatorade already dropped him from something. I don't know if it was his whole deal, or just part of it.I would guess that the correct answer is that many of his sponsors will drop him very soon and everyone will be pissed. Then later: he will start winning again and everyone will be like, "Where has this guy been?". Let's give him a bunch of deals.

Cue scene of Tiger on a hot summer day and parched from a long day out on the links. He reaches for a nice cold refreshing gatorade as the camera pans up to a sweaty faced Tiger as the screen appears with "IS IT IN YOU?Yeah, probably best to let this one go
