Looking forward to the Alpert ep
cannot wait for the richard episode. it's about freaking time.
Next week's episode is going to be frickin' amazing.
Looks like my strategy of not watching the preview for next week's episode really paid off. I really wish they hadn't played up how distraught Sawyer was about Juliette if they were just going to wait a few episodes to make him all about Kate again.

Don't think he's as "all bout Kate" as you might think. He just see's her as a rescue operation and, perhaps, a way he can make his actions seem less selfish? Not sure, but I don't think there's any going back for Mr. Ford.

I'm having a hard time imagining a satisfactory resolution to the alt-timeline.
Some are suggesting the alt-timeline won't resolve and is a "holding zone" due to a temporal split caused by the "incident". If it resolves at all, it will be in a merge with the island happenings. Too many things are appearing in the alt-timeline that were consistent with what already happened between the original Oceanic crash and the incident. Separation anxiety?

Does anyone have any theories about the importance of Claire holding Kate's hand? Was is it a keep your friends close type thing? Or is Claire smokey touchy?
Likely just to put Kate off her guard so the knife attack would be more of a surprise.

Yeah, it seems that handshakes were important symbols in that episode. When Locke was talking to Kate as she sat down, he held out his hand for a while, asking her to go with him. She did go with him, but snubbed his handshake.Did Sawyer and Sayid shake Locke's hand when they joined him? It would be interesting to note.

Yep, I felt extra nerdy as that scene ended and I went, "HA! She didn't take his hand!"

it will be some sort of reset and everything that happened in the other 5 1/2 seasons won't have. which will suck.

just to let you guys know, my idiot friends even admit that this show is now garbage, and they have devoted serious time to it, so you know its sincere. for years they would tell me to watch the show. i told them it was for losers (while making an "L" on my forehead). ive never seen a full episode, but the glimpses of this season that i have been unfortunate enough to catch have impressed me with their low production values, laughable acting and dialogue, and preposterous events.please, all of this nonsense about wondering what's going to happen, and how "next episode is going to really straighten us out, i can tell!" - ugh, get a grip. this is below you people. ive seen you at your best, and now this?don't watch this show anymore. its beyond ridiculous and nothing is going to be resolved. you will not have your closure, unless your idea of closure is that part where the con man lets you know you've been had. only the people like me who never watched this mess get away cleanly. the rest of you are down to one play: cut your losses and abandon this regrettable saga of your life.there are too many great films and documentaries (and tv shows, btw) out there to spend another minute of your time on this charade. watch something that will entertain by exploring the real traits of human life, and do so in an engaging and enriching way, as opposed to the bland, mystical escapism of a show that truly lives up to its name. this post is for the rational among you; i do not hope nor want to save the others. your time is valuable, and your options for spending it: immense. the frivolous? not welcome here. not in this life!

No offense but if you never watched the show then you really have no credibility so go back to scrapbooking or making another AIDS quilt.

So his friends want us to watch for 5 seasons, then when the storyline flattens out and we start finding out all the mysteries behind the island and what will happen in the final season, it's terrible? If you like mysteries, good for you. But this season is all about FINDING OUT ABOUT THOSE MYSTERIES. Also, you're a ftl moron. Low production values? It's the most costly show to ever be produced on TV. It's been shot in Hawaii every season, not on a set in LA. Laughable acting? Actors cast on this show have won Emmys. That alone should tell you it's damn good. Preposterous events? If you watched the show at all you WOULD REALIZE it's not supposed to be entirely realistic. It's a hell of a good alt-reality show, in fact one of the best ever to have been on television, and you're the moron berating it. So after that, just gtfo you fat troll.

There are a lot of jokes about Lost fans being annoying or somehow the "worse" fans. I, on the other hand, think that Lost haters are the ones who go too far and quickly become quite annoying. I mean, for what other show do people actively argue that others shouldn't watch for seemingly no reason.
