Nice pick up...I think we may be about to see Walt as the "light"

I mean, there's definitely something special about children on the island. Walt and Aaron clearly have very important roles, and most likely they're related to Jacob. It's unclear exactly what that means, but most likely this makes children opponents to the monster.This is probably related to the reason that women can't give birth on the island, or get pregnant, or whatever. Most likely, the monster is the one who has been killing pregnant women because he fears the power of children (or something like that).I mean, the whole show is about daddy issues, as evidenced by the backward words in the lighthouse last week. So, the monster killing the children is related to the issues between a father and a young child. Or something. Who knows.

i'd really like to know what the final body count is when this show wraps up. damn near every character, bit player or background person has been killed. Sayid probably has 20 or 30 confirmed kills.remember the episode where Eko was dragging Charlie to find the plane full of heroin and the smoke monster showed up but Eko just stared it down and smokey took off? any thoughts on whey smokey would not want to mess with Eko?

At the time that episode aired, they were still planning on Eko being the end game locke character. That actor decided he didn't like hawaii and they rearranged the characters. Read it in an interview a while back.

That was a much better episode (Sayid episodes are always good). There is still no point to the alternate reality where the plane never crashed, but at least the story in it was interesting.

Another cool pickup on 4th episode.When Locke is working on TPS reports in his flashback, he is clicking numbers and hitting enter, every time he hits enter instead of the normal noise, it is the noise the smoke monster makes...the one that sounds like a rabid chipmunk. The second time he hits enter it is longer and the scene fades.I thought that was crafty...

I'm assuming there's a reason Locke spoke to Sayid and "claimed" him but just glared at Kate and didn't say anything.

I think Sayyid had already been claimed. I also think Not-Locke looked like that at Kate to assess her participation and will likelyy have a private conversation with her (or public, perhaps...Smokey is hardly shy about stuff like that, it seems) about her motivations

I assumed that was just another example of, "Hey, look, these people's paths would cross no matter what!" Speaking of that, would it have been impossible to have a few seconds in the previous episode showing that Faraday had been Jack's kid's piano instructor? I was fully expecting that.

Destiny is destiny. Jack was always meant to save the island. And he will. The off island stuff is interesting. It could be what could have been if the island was destroyed. Or it could be to show that no matter what is done to prevent it, Destiny is Destiny. Jack has noticed some things. Desmond on the plane for one. His appendix scar for another. I dont know if they will unite the worlds, or how. But it may only be Jack that has to be there. Thats how I would write it anyways.

i am liking the show so far this year, but I think we are creating just as many questions as answering them..i cant wait for EVERYTHING to be cleared up eventually..I would love a 1hour special, where the producers come out and explain everything and answer questions.
