He has made hundreds of millions of dollars from endorsements. He has paid tens of millions to sports agents. Those things go hand-in-hand with bad publicity when you screw up. Of course the media has too much access to the lives of celebrities, but of course a shoe doesn't need to cost $120 just because Tiger appears in a commercial for it. Just look at how big of a story it becomes when Tiger drops an F bomb after hitting an errant shot.Also, it has to do with the salacious details of the event, IE The nanny battering his face and his car with a nine-iron. If Someone like Tom Brady got assaulted by gizelle and got into an accident fleeing their home at 2 in the morning, you can bet there'd be a huge deal made about it.
