XXEddie 0
So I started using my GFs Mac as opposed to my hp since that turned to a slow POS. I downloaded Stars and for the first month or so it worked fine. Then it started crashing every 5 minutes, if that. So I looked it up and saw that Stars offered a different version of their software specificall for the Mac. Awesome! This must solve my problem, right? False. The crashes are happening just and often. Has anyone had experience similar to this? Thanks.

And he calls himself professor. But also obviously it is not a spyware/virus problem as there is no such thing for a mac. If you post the crash log we might be able to tell better as well. Go to Applications -> Utilities and find Consolein the left pane under Files -> ~Library/logs -> CrashReporter find the most recent crash log for PokerStars. Post the gibberish. vbnautilus 48
are macs really immune to viruses and spy ware i find that hard to believe. if so thats impressiveThey not theoretically "immune" but they are effectively safe in that there are currently no real viruses or worms in the wild which affect macs. I have been troubleshooting the macs for my friends, family, and colleagues for 25 years. Since the introduction of OS X, I have encountered exactly zero cases of viral infection. When someone has a problem with their mac I can be 99.9% certain it is not malware related. (on the other hand when I am troubleshooting a PC problem I usually start from the assumption that it is malware related, as you did here). BTW, XXXEddie, I have no problems with PokerStars on my mac, so there must be some conflict or issue with your individual situation.
Acekob 0
I have been using windows xp since a bit after it came, most of the time without any other protection than the windows firewall.I have also downloaded all sorts of crap on my computer, but I have never had any virus or serious spyware problem.
