Luke00016 0
Hey all,I'm thinking of purchasing a subscription to CardRunners, as I can't afford a good teacher and have plenty of time to soak up a lot of online content.Any thoughts from people who have used it? Is it worth the investment? And, most importantly, I'd be a new member, so we could take advantage of the "refer-a-friend" promo that I see when I start to register. If anyone is interested, feel free to PM me your username or post it in a reply and I'll put it into the promo spot.

trystero 0
my friend let me use his CR account, and I got a lot of mileage out of it...some very solid instructors for low stakes NL, mostly 50nlI'd recommend it

Royal_Tour 0
i'd recommend spending time in these and 2+2 strategy section. observe some games. read a few selected books, and if u can, purchase a training subscription. But i'd say your best bet to improving your game is being active in strategy, posting, commenting and reading (whether here, or another site)You see how other players at various levels of skill, experience, and limits would play situations. and when you add your 2 cents, you can see how they would perceive your style of play. Its much more beneficial than having a couple high stakes players give you advice. JaoTi 0
CR is pretty good, there isn't always a ton of new content for lowish stakes, and it's all pretty similar, but that's what's important there. There are one or two very good instructors for those limits too, whereas most sites have a bunch of people who don't really understand why they win and don't teach very well at all. I think you can get a free 7 day trial for Deuces Cracked, which may be a better option. Stoxpoker may also work out to be better because there is no sign-up fee (I think), which is very expensive for somebody playing ssnl.
