Recommended Posts

I looked around the internet for this but couldn't find a definitive answer.Flop is out. Everyone checks around.Dealer burns and flips the turn, but the guy on the button hadn't acted yet.He wanted to bet. What's the procedure?-----------------------------------------------------------Now, same question, but "before the flop". BB wanted to raise, but dealer flops before he can.Procedure?

Everytime this has happened at my pokerroom, the dealer calls the floor and is instructed to replace the card in the deck, shuffle, and burn and turn again.

asides from a redeal that card can be the burn for the river i think, so dealer can draw another turn and not burn for river and it should work, but that is what i would do in a home game if this happened but everyone would have to agree on it otherwise we would rebate everyone and start from scratch. Where did this happen?

SECTION 5 - HOLD'EMRULES8. A dealing error for the fourth boardcard is rectified in a manner to least influence the identity of the boardcards that would have been used without the error. The dealer burns and deals what would have been the fifth card in the fourth card’s place. After this round of betting, the dealer reshuffles the deck, including the card that was taken out of play, but not including the burncards or discards. The dealer then cuts the deck and deals the final card without burning a card. If the fifth card is turned up prematurely, the deck is reshuffled and dealt in the same manner. [see “Section 16 – Explanations,” discussion #4, for more information on this rule.]http://www.homepokertourney.com/roberts-rules-of-poker.htm

two different home games I've played in.....we have put the dealt card and burn back in the deck....reshuffled and dealt again after action has completed. I would assume pf the same effect applies. This exact situation burned me once when I flopped a set of aces against a flush draw and got it all in on the turn. But before the flush draw called the all in.....the dealer dealt the river which missed. He then called and shuffled the card back in and hit the flush. 120 dollar pot....bye bye.....
