So i was playing 1/2 NLHE the other day at the casino.believe the kid UTG or UTG +1 raised it to 27 dollars. I was in next position with AK so i called, the next 2 guys next in line called the raise as well.So at this point there is just over 100 dollars in the pot. the flop comes Q K 4 with 2 spades, the original raiser goes all in. which puts me all in for another 60? dollars... can i really fold top pair with top kicker?the rest of the hand goes as follows:the next guy in line calls all in for all his chips as well, (he had 44 in the hole) and then the following guy put all his chips (on a flush draw)the original raiser had Q4 in the hole for flopped 2 pair.the turn came a K (giving me trips and the 44 guy a full house) and i didnt catch the Q or K on the river for the full boat.My question is, can i really fold the all in with top pair and top kicker, if the kid had Aces or flopped trips, he would have slow played it more wanting to get more money. The only thing i can think i should have done is reraise the raise and go all in or something, but im sure the next kid would have called with his 44 cuz he was on tilt

if it costs you 27 to see a flop and you only have 60ish behind, you really need to just push preflop.as played, how could you consider folding after sticking in such a chunk of your stack and hit your pair? You have to call, and be happy with it.

if people are going to be that spewy preflop then coming over the top hard is the only option unless you are hyper deep, like everyone being 300-400 BB deep because we are commited to any flop more or less

No. Shoving should be a smooth muscle response.
