They both have really good rookies. Especially the titans.
I like Jake Locker. Big Jake Locker fan. Jake Locker should not keep you from trying to sign Peyton Manning.I don't even know who you're talking about with the 49ers.

Did anyone just watch that 3rd and 7 scramble? Cam is such an incredible creature.

That Bama-Auburn ending is the most hilarious thing I've ever seen. How fabulous.

They have a black? Kid named colin kapernick or something that is supposedly really great. They should just resign A smith though.I mean, I know what you're saying but I would rather have Locker on the field getting reps, with Hasslebeck on the sidelines, than overpaying for a broken down old timer.

I hope he goes to Miami. It makes the most sense; they have some legitimate pieces in place. Plus, Brady vs. Manning twice a year. Manning vs. Rex Ryan. Cardinals are only interesting because of Fitzgerald. If he chooses the Redskins, he is stupid. I don't want him to go to the Jets because I hate the Jets. And two Mannings in New York? That town isn't big enough...well, no, I suppose it's plenty big enough. Whatever. Why isn't Tennessee on the list of potential suitors? Or the 49ers?
Tennessee isn't on there out of respect for Indy, I think. Going to another AFC South team would be very Favresque. I guess everyone in SF believes in Alex Smith now? On paper, they make just as much sense as Miami.

While i have heard CK is developing nicely, I don't think Kapernick is so good that the 49ers should eschew a legitimate Superbowl run with Manning for the next couple years. Two years developing behind manning couldn't hurt him, and then when Manning is 38 or w/e, they let him walk and slot of CK, if he's any good.

There's got to me something else behind that trade. It just seems really really bad for the Dolphins, and I can't think of any logical reason for them to give up Marshall for some draft picks.

at first i thought it was miami just throwing in the manning towel. but i heard that apparently manning didn't like marshall and didn't want to work with a diva, so maybe this is a desperation move to try to attract peyton?

John Glennon ‏ @glennonsportsESPN's Bill Polian calls Peyton competition dead heat between #Titans and Denver. He better not go to Denver. Unless Denver then ships Tebow somewhere. I need my Tebow time.

This is just me speculating and repeating some rumors I have heard, but a lot of this trade could have to do with the possibility of landing Manning. While it seems that Denver and Arizona Titans are the frontrunners to sign Manning, there are several other teams still in the mix. I read a good article right after news of the trade broke, and it talked about how this is the perfect opportunity to make a serious pitch to Manning. It was rumored that Manning would not want to play with someone like Marshall (let's face it, the guy is talented but could go off the deep end at any moment). Also the Dolphins leave themselves with very little options at the WR position which might mean they are considering signing someone Manning is comfortable with. (Wayne, Garcon)

I wouldn't have minded Wayne, if they still had Marshall. Garcon is going to the Redskins. So unless the Dolphins plan on getting either V. Jackson or Mike Wallace, it doesn't make sense. The whole Peyton reason is absurd. Although I wouldn't put it past the Dolphins front office to think getting rid of a stud receiver to land an aging QB is the right move.As far as Peyton, I'd be really surprised if he went anywhere other than Tennessee. He can say all he wants that there's no hard feelings between him and Jim Irsay, but we all know he's got that "Tom Brady getting drafted 6th round" resentment towards him. So what better team to play for than the team that gets to play your old team two times a year?

Mario Williams to the Buffalo BillsUrg. I feel like the Texans took such a huge risk on him (and they were right) in the face of all the noise. I just hate that they lost him.
A strange reaction. !) I wouldn't say they took a huge risk on him. Williams was 2 (or 1) pretty much everyone's draft board ( maybe 3, depending on what you thought of Vince Young). Taking him was actually risk adverse, as a stud pass rushing 3 down defensive end is much less likely to bust than a QB, and likely to have a longer shelf life and have more impact on a game than an RB. The Texans didn't want to take the risk on Bush for the price he would have commanded as the first over all pick, so they took the much safer option. It was an unpopular move because Bush was such an electric college player and had so much media hype, but it wasn't a risky one.2) You must just hate the concept of free agency in general, because unless you're a houston fan I can't understand hating the move. If he landed on a hatable team like the cowboys or something, I'd get it.. but this is akin to Reggie White signing with the Packer.. the Bills haven't had a free agent signing like this in.. well god, pretty much ever. IT's a hard market to attract players to, and the fans are SO passionate about football that I'm rather excited for them. 3) If he's commanding 50 million in Gt'd money, resigning in houston was never an option. That team has too much other talent that they need to get locked up, they couldn't afford half of that I don't imagine.

So, where does Tebow go now? If Miami trades for him, I'm out.
Miami should get him so they'll be interesting while still losing a lot which would put them in position to draft Barkley.

I disagree. At this point, they should just let Matt Moore have a real shot. He did go 6-3 down the stretch last year. And he is better than Tebow or overpaying Alex Smith.

I had something else posted here, but decided it was stupid.More importantly, bet365 has Denver as 21:1 to win the Super Bowl and 11:1 to win the AFC. Good odds, no? Don't think they've changed since the "announcement."

I think Tebow should stay in Denver. Best backup QB in the league, right? That's all anyone thought he was before last year, and he didn't exactly prove us wrong with his play, right? Not the worst idea to have a versatile, solid backup QB when your QB is 100 and has a broken neck, amirite?
