Did anyone just watch that 3rd and 7 scramble? Cam is such an incredible creature.

That Bama-Auburn ending is the most hilarious thing I've ever seen. How fabulous.

Let's not forget that Tebow has some of the worst receivers in the league. How many drops were there in the Patriots game? It was insane how many times the ball hit someone in the hands or body and they didn't catch it. The Broncos traded their best WR to the Rams like the same week Tebow became a starter.
How many drops did the 15-1 Packers have against NY? Demaryious Thomas > Brandan Lloyd. Broncos definitely need to upgrade at the #2 WR spot.....I'm just saying all the long-term metrics are bad. Tebow has to seriously improve in the offseason because they can't count on running the ball that well all the time.

Certainly age is a factor when picking a certain player to be on your favorite team.

I'd take him solely on expected production for next year. Thomas is a beast; that game against Pitt is just the beginning.

Is Alex Smith a mormom? Or just from Utah? (and Justin Smith is a beast),
I loved the tackle he made when he managed to pull down Bress even though there was a Saints player in the way and almost on top of him.
Do Patriot fans want a Giants rematch?
Yes, I would love to beat the Giants after the travesty of a few years ago. (The travesty being that we didn't show up). I also like the symmetry that in 2008 we beat them in the regular season but got beat in the Superbowl and this season we lost to them in the regular season and could beat them in the Superbowl.

so you're saying that the pats lost the superbowl to the giants because they "didnt show up?" is that what you're saying? because i find it incredibly hard to believe that the patriots players "didnt show up" for that game. mainly because i watched it and they did in fact "show up." so if they were physically present, you must be saying that they didnt play their best because they werent in the game mentally. is that it? they just couldnt get motivated to play in the superbowl? IS THAT WHAT THE FUCK YOU ARE SAYING? BECAUSE YEAH THAT MAKES A WHOLE HELL OF A LOT OF SENSE - IN OPPOSITE LAND.

I think it's probably more likely, that the Giants defense ****ing dominated that game. (so let's give Eli the MVP)

The only scenario where I could stand a Giants victory next week, is if they beat the Patriots again in the Super Bowl. In fact, I would be actively cheering for Eli Manning, even while knowing that a victory would falsely put him on a plane in the media that I don't even want to see.EDIT: oh man. You just broke my brain. I really can't stand the thought of Eli getting a bunch of credit that he doesn't deserve. He already gets way too much for 2008. No way he was MVP of that Super Bowl. It was someone/multiple people on the D-Line.EDIT 2: I hate Eli Manning so bad, that my Patriots hate has now been fully removed from my mind and I am engulfed in the possibility of Eli winning another Superbowl and how terrible that would be for me.
I was listening to the BS Report (I know) and Simmons asked Michael Lombardi which QB he would take out of all the playoff QB's. First pick was Brady. Second was Eli.I would pay $10 to see your reaction when they said that.Over Brees and Rodgers. So funny.Eli Manning could win his 2nd super bowl in Indianapolis. There are so many possible story lines for whatever the Super Bowl match-up is. NE vs NY is obviously a re-match of the Tyree catch Super Bowl.NE vs SF is Tom Brady trying to match Joe Montana in rings.BAL vs SF is the Harbaugh Bowl.BAL vs NY is...I guess it's a re-match of the Dilfer-Seahorn Super Bowl. That's obviously the least attractive game for narrative purposes, so it's definitely going to be that. I just put down two moneyline bets on BAL and NY.

Gross.Don't mistake my hate for blinders. I understand that Eli is a solid QB. If he is given time, he will generally hit open receivers, unlike so many other NFL starting QB's. I just hate him so bad. I already hate the Giants, since I'm a Dallas fan, but Eli just took that hate and added a touch of I just raped your mother. However, the 2008 SB he was not good. He was missing WR's left and right the whole game, even with no pressure. There were two times on the final drive that INT's were flat out dropped by the Patriots, and he still won the MVP. It was ridiculous. It should have been Tuck and Umenyura or something, like they did for the 77(?) Superbowl with the Cowboys where Too Tall(or someone else) and Randy White shared it on defense.Eli's stat line: 19 for 34 55.9% CP 255 Yds 2 td 1 int 87.3 QB ratingThat's exactly why I don't listen to Simmons' stupid podcast. It's so retarded to pick anyone over Brady, Brees, and Rodgers that I don't even know what to say.

Do Patriot fans want a Giants rematch? The lead-up to the Super Bowl would be pretty unbearable. Having to relive the last Super Bowl and the Tyree catch and all that. But beating them would be satisfying.
No. It'd be two very annoying weeks, and beating them would just be what the Pats are supposed to do anyway, and would 4 out of 5 times (just like in 2007). I'd rather see them play a more interesting team like the 49ers. At least there the press would have to find some stories that are actually interesting to focus on.

I'd take Rodgers and Brees over either of them and not think twice. Brady just won his first playoff game in years against a flawed 9-8 team. Before the Atlanta game, Eli's career postseason stats at home were 0-3 with a QB rating around 40.Sports media has become the shining example of "what have you done for me lately" syndrome. Both Brees and Rodgers also played very well last weekend and got surprisingly little help from their teammates (though the Packers got plenty of help from the refs).Speedz, I don't think the overall gap between the Patriots and Giants is nearly as wide as it was in 2007. That was a much better Patriots team; this Giants team is about as good as that one was.

Brady won Super Bowl MVP when he went 16 for 27 for 145 yards and a TD.
... and that's also retarded.

Slight over reaction. Clearly I meant they probably didn't play as well as they could have. Unfortutunately (or fortunately depending on your point of view), the Giants did "show up" and won.
I'm also a fan of illegal horse-collar tackles.
Wasn't Brees still in the pocket and therefore a legal tackle? I'm not picking an argument, just the reason I thought the refs never flagged it.

I didn't know that was legal. Given all the protection QB's already received, seems kind of weird that they allow that. But after looking it up, you are right.<--------------------->Unrelated, for whatever it's worth:The Ravens are 7-0 against teams with winning records this year (Pitt 2, Cincy 2, Houston 2, SF) The Patriots are 0-2 (Pitt and NYG).

Wow was that a lucky win for the Pats. I don't envy the next few weeks that receiver and kicker will be having. Now to figure out how I can avoid failing my ophthalmology exam the day after the super bowl.

I think it's safe that this postseason is a good example of why professional football is this country's most popular sport. Baseball is boring, basketball rarely comes down to one game and is way too slow for the last five minutes, hockey is hockey, etc. Not sure the super bowl can match up to expectations after the handful of great games preceeding it, but hopefully it'll do ok.Edit: Although I'll admit that the games today were ultimately decided by late glaring mistakes, which kind of sucks. I really wanted the 49ers to make it.

After successfully picking the Giants last week, I feel like I'm pretty good at guessing the outcome of games now. So for all you sports betting guys, here you go.NY - 17SF - 10NE - 31BAL - 16
Eh, close enough.

Kyle Williams atleast doesn't suck as much as Lebron James. He only choked once.
You mean twice. It's okay. One and two are so close.
