timwakefield 68
Good season Tebow, too bad it has to end tonight. I was rooting for the guy, just cuz it's been crazy to watch him and watch the Broncos run this weird tricky offense. And I was really rooting for them last week...because I really didn't want to play the Steelers.
SuperJon 175
Tonight's game for the Broncos really needs to be less about Tebow and more about their defense. He can have the best game of his NFL career tonight, but they don't have a shot unless the defense can keep Brady in check. Denver's defense turning into an elite unit is what turned their season around.
GOCUBSGO 77
wow @49ers/Saints. Such a good game. I think they said 4 lead changes in the last 3 min 53 sec. So much fun to watch..
BigDMcGee 3,353
ridiculous game.
timwakefield 68
Yeah that was an insane finish. Good timing too - the game ended about 30 seconds before the game in Foxborough started. And it's already 14-0. Ridiculous td catch by Gronkowski.

SuperJon 175
this was my thought process:What do the Giants, Saints, and Packers have in common? A great QB and the ability to put points on the board. What separates them? The Giants can actually play defense.
BillyPilgrim 1
logical thoughts. and it doesnt help the pack that rodgers hasnt played in three weeks. he looked off all game.
Ottawa_Biatch 288
the packers should have benched rodgers. he's over-rated and sucks. matt flynn would have changed the outcome of the game.

DJ Vu 176
Looks like we found out what the one true faith was tonight. MormonismIs Alex Smith a mormom? Or just from Utah? Insane game. You know, I think the 49ers defense is pretty good (and Justin Smith is a beast), but the Saints still put up 30+ points with 5 turnovers. I think a Saints-Patriots super bowl would've been awesome. If it ends up being Baltimore-New York, I'm not going to be happy. I think this means I need to make a big bet on Baltimore and New York this weekend.

As a Cowboys fan, I hate both the Giants and 9ers, but my 9er hate has drastically subsided since the early 90's, and I still hate the Giants more than death.I'm happy for the San Fran fans that they get a home game next week. The Saints game seemed like a fun atmosphere.I also agree/can't believe that the Saints were still in a position to win that game after 5 TO's. Oh, what could have been. At least all the starters in the Pro Bowl will still be able to attend.
DJ Vu 176
Do Patriot fans want a Giants rematch? The lead-up to the Super Bowl would be pretty unbearable. Having to relive the last Super Bowl and the Tyree catch and all that. But beating them would be satisfying.
brvheart 1,755
The only scenario where I could stand a Giants victory next week, is if they beat the Patriots again in the Super Bowl. In fact, I would be actively cheering for Eli Manning, even while knowing that a victory would falsely put him on a plane in the media that I don't even want to see.EDIT: oh man. You just broke my brain. I really can't stand the thought of Eli getting a bunch of credit that he doesn't deserve. He already gets way too much for 2008. No way he was MVP of that Super Bowl. It was someone/multiple people on the D-Line.EDIT 2: I hate Eli Manning so bad, that my Patriots hate has now been fully removed from my mind and I am engulfed in the possibility of Eli winning another Superbowl and how terrible that would be for me. The Steelers had the #1 defense in the league and "didn't figure it out" 7 days ago.
DJ Vu 176
I think the first few games their offense was a gimmick, but it has evolved some. I think with a full off-season (remember there was a lockout this year and he started as the back-up) they can be a pro offense that just runs a lot more than most teams. He's good with the deep passes, so a run, run, run, deep pass offense could be effective. I disagree with people who think Tebow can't keep running the way he does. Everybody says he's built like a running back, so why can't he play a full year like that? He doesn't run nearly as often as a regular running back.

The Steelers had the #1 defense in the league and "didn't figure it out" 7 days ago. That may have had something to do with the Steelers missing their entire starting D line and their starting strong safety. Look at the stats for Tebow facing a defense for the 2nd time. It's UGLY. I disagree with people who think Tebow can't keep running the way he does. Everybody says he's built like a running back, so why can't he play a full year like that? He doesn't run nearly as often as a regular running back.Running backs get hurt a lot....but Tebow is big enough that this style might not lead to a lot of injuries. He does take a bunch of big shots though.
brvheart 1,755
Let's not forget that Tebow has some of the worst receivers in the league. How many drops were there in the Patriots game? It was insane how many times the ball hit someone in the hands or body and they didn't catch it. The Broncos traded their best WR to the Rams like the same week Tebow became a starter.
