FishtankHank 0
Here's a good one, I was on the casino boat playing 5/10 limit hold'em. I flop the nut flush draw and I hit on the turn. This older apparently rich lady is the only one left in the pot with me on the river and she bets, I raise, she reraises, I reraise, and she again reraises me. At this point I look at the community to make sure I do indeed have the nuts. No straight flush or boat possibilities so I ask the dealer "We can keep raising until one of us has no chips right? Because we're heads up?" (Huge Tell?) Anyway he says "yea." and so I raise, and she reraises and we continue to do this until have I no more chips. She turns over 10 high and says I thought I could bluff you out of it. I just thanked her for giving me 150+ dollars.

I'm not sure if that strategy is wise in a MTT because I don't play many MTT, but I'm just a saying.

If its true she is the absoulute stupidest player on the face of the earth and you should get her number and invite her to every game you ever play in.I actually had a very similar thing happen to me at the MGM Grand when I first started playing. It was at a 2/4 LHE table....and I flopped quads...me and this old woman went heads up at the end.No cap on the raising heads up in the final round of betting....she had like a 10 high straight....she didn't even think of the possibility of someone having quads, a full house...and I think there were even 3 suited cards on the board (no possibility of a straight flush), so even a flush.I even told her by the 10th or 11th re raise that I had quads and she can't win....I actually felt kind of guilty taking this poor womans money....but she kept reraising. I then came to the realization that she deserved it for being so dumb. I think I took her alone for a total of around $200.
mrdannyg 274
i would call shenanigans on that 10-high, but i saw a hand at a 5/10 casino game, where 17 raises went in on the turn on a board of J-10-3-4 with two spades. the river goes check-check.one guy shows AA (nuts!) and the other shows As, 2s and says he thought he had a flush. TWW909 0
Just a few minutes ago, playing 5 handed 1/2 at FCP. UTG I raise with 3 3 both blinds call. Flop comes 7 7 7, both players check, I bet, both call. Turn comes the case 7 for board quads. SB bets, BB calls, I fold. River comes an Ace, it goes check check. SB shows A 2 for the nuts on the turn, BB shows 8c 10c and we have this exchange:BB: "Why bet when there are 4 on the board, we all share"Me: "On the turn?"BB: "Yes"Me: "Because you couldn't win, and had 3 outs for half." BB: "No we all share." At this point I recognize it is futile and give up the fight. I finish a 30 minute session +32 thank you fish.

Ricky 0
I'm playing in a local live MTT; I have A-10, get in cheap, and flop comes A-X-X with two diamonds. I bet half the pot, all fold save for one caller. Turn brings another blank; I go all in; the guy starts yapping at me about "how you gonna out me all in with nothing but a draw, what, you got a draW? you gonna out me all in with that," etc, etc . . . Finally, after much commiserating with his buddy, he pushes all in, showing me Jd-6d, no pair. The river brings no help, and he's out, throws his cards at the dealer, storms off. . .but as he's leaving, the guy next to me starts laughing. Not me, I'm just stacking chips. He storms back and starts screaming "YOU WOULDN'T BE LAUGHING IF I MADE MY FLUSH!" I say "sir, I'm not laughing." and he keeps ranting about how he'd be the one laughing if he made his diamond . . . ugh. I wish I had laughed.

ScottK2001 0
So I decided to try a satellite in Vegas at the Wynn for their $540 buy-in tournament. Of the first ten hands, the same elderly man went all-in about 3 or 4 times, not getting any callers. I was then in the Big Blind with 99 when he went all-in from middle position. I decided to make the call, and he shows A-7 offsuit. Flop comes K-7-7, and two blanks later I'm eliminated. Someone asked him how he could push with that hand. He simply responded: "I had ace."
