Cappy37 0
Can you talk about the last hand? You know, since it's not salty. Did he think he had fold equity when you donk bet the flop with those stack sizes?I have the best hand, i bet.I have the best hand, i call. When your opponent has 10BBs or less, I imagine dissecting his inner thoughts isn't really that important. My guess is the donkbet was because NNB was ahead and would rather end the hand for a nice profit than play 2 more streets for another 160k vs. 2 overs..When he gets shoved on, he's almost always against 1 or 2 overs with the best hand..Even if percy flashed JJ, he's still got 9 outs twice. If your thought process is "maybe shoving over NNBs donk was a bad idea" then yeah, you're probably right. But it's pretty silly to poke fun at someone who's down to his last 8BBs and both desperate and holding an ace.

But it's pretty silly to poke fun at someone who's down to his last 8BBs and both desperate and holding an ace.I totally understand NNB's donk. I just don't understand the shove since he has to know he's getting called. Even if NNB has a gutter with one over, which has to be the very min he'd donk on that board, it's a tough spot to get it in with ace high. I also understand the phantom desperation of having a short stack HU. Villains min raise made no sense to me and his shove on NNB's donk makes even less sense. not sure why guy didn't shove all in preflopno doubt.

So i understand his thinking in shoving. Thing is, like my flatting range crushes that flop. A lot of the hands that miss that flop I am just going to fold or jam pre.not sure why guy didn't shove all in preflopyeh thats questionable but I think i make same play in his shoes to get villain to induce.
