Indeed WTF!?!You should probably create your own "JSpecer's doctored up HH's" thread anyways. It's long overdue.Do it to it TJ! I had a goal of turning 100-500 in 3 weeks. I failed in 3 hours. LOOOOOOOOL.

Fair enough, but I missed the part where you say "I'm JSpencaaaaaah and I'm going to run my BR from $10 to $10000 in a month"
100 - 10,000 in a month.Why not right?
LOL gooo JSpencaaaaaah! But you need to be more specific in your goals and how you will achieve them. Is it cash games, SNG's or MTT's, or a combination? What levels are you playing? Like in TJ's post. Because I look at your MTT's and you will not make it with that alone - actually that will only make you go backwards judging by results.GLGLPS: no fake or doctored hand histories. And don't spam the thread with uselessness. People are generally interested in following TJ's progress.

Mostly all MTTs....preferably six handed, since I find myself much more comfortable at short handed tables. Possibly my lack of patience has something to do with it. $3-$10 MTT's mostly. I actually have no faith in actually reaching this goal, but If I am going to waste money, I might as well have a purpose behind it.And I edited one hand history. God Damn. Let it go.

I hope after the 100 days I can look back and see just how rediculous variance is and see just how swingy this game is.. I think we get caught up so much in the short term and get way toooo high when we win and way too low when we lose.. there is no even keel for me.. its like im super happy, or super pist... Yesterday coulda been a great day , I was 1 flip away from top 5 stack in the 1k 10 away from the money and that would have made my -1k day at least +1k.. Yesterday was the first time ive been phyiscially sick from poker in a long time.. misclicks, mistakes.. etc.. Sucks to blow opportunities when you are playing really well.

I think the fact that you're being honest about the emotional ups and downs of playing and posting them is a great thing that a lot of people will learn from. Many only see the highs of the big scores but not the emotional roller coaster that poker can be at times.I know in my own case I go through periods of loving and hating poker. At the moment I'm in a phase where I really don't feel like sitting down and playing much online poker so there's a pretty good chance that I'm going to play some live poker in September. The Port Perry Charity Casino is about an hour drive for me and I find that even when things aren't going well live I can handle it much better from an emotional standpoint than when things aren't going well online. For me actually seeing the person who just hit their 3 outer on the river to beat you out of a pot is much easier to take.

I tend to agree with this. When it happens online you instantly get this mental picture of some kid who is completely clueless and didn't realize just how incredibly behind he was. And then they hit and you imagine them laughing at you, saying how much you suck at poker, asking if you have a watch cuz that's what time it is and saying they owned you. Ugggghhh, I'm getting tilted. At lest live you can see them hang their head in shame and sheepishly say "sorry".

Not me. You'd see me doing the happy dance in the middle of the playing floor. :)But I agree about the variance, and it's good to see a strong player putting it out there in passing conversation.

Yeah but don't you post fake HH's?
No. I edited one hand history from AJ to AK only because I ran like a dead fish that day and was tilted to hell and didn't feel like dealing with the guff and wanted to vent.

quit replaying to everyone and it will get dropped, you are derailing the thread by replying to every post

Actually going to respond to jspence seriously (lol this is gonna be fun):You were only CAUGHT fixing one HH, but seriously, all of your tales of str8 flooshes<Royals, your quads<quads and all the other horrendous beats that you "took" kinda makes people question after you are caught just changing a pretty standard hand. And I'm not looking to derail TJ's thread here, but no one can really ever take your beats seriously b/c of the change. I have only been quads<quads once since I have been playing poker. You have taken these close to mathematical impossible beats over and over in a short sample size of hands. Things just don't add up. Keep you head up and start reading more about the strategy to mtts, sngs, and the specific games that you are looking to play. Try to improve your game. Look at your hh's and ask questions of what little bet size you could change. Don't let the tilt of a 3 outter on the river get to you (even though I have been letting it here lately). Hopefully you can start trying to improve and not just be looking for a bad beat forumOh, and my goals for this is followed: I have $114.20 in my BR (****ing no job for a while, so I needed bill money)- in the 100 days, I would like to turn the $114.20 into 1,114.20. - I'm going to be playing HU sngs, 6max turbo sngs, 18-180 man sngs, and then micro mtts (hopefully can get it done just like that)- Once my roll is to about ~250, I will throw 6max cash game grind in there as wellGL to everyone making their goals and may we all run like god!

yeh this thread will hopefully allow alot of the smaller stakes players a little glimpse into the life of a higher stakes tournament player and how soul crushing life can be because of poker. The only real thing people see on this site are Rail calls and stuff where someone might cash for like 6-15k and people are just like WOW SICK I WISH I COULD HAVE WON THAT MUCH. The reality is that 15k is about a week of buyins for me and most other higher stakes players (if im putting in a fair amt of volume) and if I had a shitty week.. that cash simply breaks me even. You are most likely going to see TJ going on 10-15k swings but might not even be that terrible cuz he's putting in alot of volume atm including lower buyin tournaments. This doesnt really apply to me though because I never go more than like 8-9k in makeup and pretty much crush poker since Im the best ever.TJ and No not baxter can attest to this.

you better get grinding, now.
I've played upwards of 600 SNGs in August and that was not at full volume at all. Only need about $300 profit a week to get near the 5k mark, and I know I can do more than that, done it before and will do it again.

Do you think it helps you to put in less volume? Usually winners of triple crowns put in a lot of volume and you have one i believe. We're you putting in more volume back then?I've always been a multitabler who puts in more volume because i believe it thins out variance but i'm interested to see the better player's take on it. You do lose a lot of hand reading ability when playing a lot of tables.
